I'd be fine with instant replay during the playoffs only.

Things have a tendency to even out over 162 games, and it's the sort of thing that will get real old real quick.

I'm not even talking about sort of 'challenge and hold the game up for 15 minutes' thing.  I'm saying to put some dude up in a booth and, when there's am obviously wrong call that everyone can tell is wrong, he calls down to the field and changes it.  It's just silly to me to let blown calls go by when it would take about 10 seconds to overturn it.  It's dumb.  People are dumb.  Write it down.  Silliness.  That's all it is.
Can you help me live a little more?  I expect good news.

I think everything should be decided from the booth. Give a bunch of Art Howes some Bluetooth headsets and let them pretend to play umpire on the field.

Well that was fun.  Mauer for MVP!
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

I don't get it.  Mauer showed up (.417/.500/.500), and should still win the MVP going away.

Uh...Derek Jeter.

He's a winner.  He didn't blow that 4-2 lead in game two like Mauer did.

MVP!

No green font, that was my failed attempt at being positive about the series. At least he showed up. Him winning the award is the last Twins thing I have to look forward to after that series. Better?

That and the fact that they could play 30 home games next year in sub-50-degree weather.  Target Field does look pretty cool, though.  The view during night games will be neat.

It's paid for with tax dollars, no?  My question is, couldn't they have at least gotten a sizeable contribution from Target to put a retractable roof on that thing?  Those games in April are going to be brutal.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

Yes, partially by the taxpayers.  Yeah, you'd think Target would be willing to help pay for a retractable roof with a giant bullseye on the top, or something.

I had no idea this stadium was being built without a roof.  I just assumed "yeah, it will have a roof".  The Twins should be able to complete about 147 games out of their schedule next year.

No, they'll play 15 of the games within 90 minutes of Kermit's home so he can run a site like "Hire Ray Miller"

I have a feeling they're not going to be as competitive anymore.  Sure, they're a great ballclub, but the Metrodome was probably the biggest homefield advantage in all of baseball.  Since 2000, their winning percentage at home is .587 as compared to .478 on the road.

The Twins have only been playing in the Metrodome since 2000?

To pick another arbitrary timeframe, between 1990 and 1999 they were .483 at home and .442 on the road.
