Not the best effort from Community tonight.

Yeah, very meh.  But that's the first time Chang's overacting buffoonery has actually been appropriate.  So, yay?

I don't get why you hate Chang so much.  I find his antics to be equal parts amusing and thought-provoking.

Dan Harmon would say it was so funny you forgot to laugh. Because you're a simp and he's a genius.

He would say something like that. I think. I'm judging him.

That was an outstanding episode.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Set phasers to...love.

Hilarious episode after a couple weeks that didn't live up to the usual standard.

Abed's monologue was good enough to be in an actual Tarantino movie. This show's got some big old nards to even attempt these highfalutin episodes.

So has anyone other than Tank seen My Dinner with Andre?

QuoteWhat's amazing about this is that "Critical Film Studies" IS actually a pretty direct movie homage, perhaps the most direct one the movie has made. But because it's a movie not a lot of people have seen and because it's such a low-concept movie, the show gets away with it. I saw My Dinner With Andre in high school because Roger Ebert raved about it, and it sounded like exactly the kind of pretentious bullshit I would enjoy at the time.

DPD...

From RV's link:

QuoteAbed said Cougar Town so many times in this episode that I almost wanted to start hating the show, based on its title alone. But you know what? I appreciate this series calling attention to one of TV's other best comedies, even if it often seems to be doing so because two of Community's producers, Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, worked closely with Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel back on Scrubs. Still, if Cougar Town somehow outlasts Community—or if Danny Pudi has a break in his schedule next season—it'd be great to have him show up on the show as a character named Chad. WORLDS COLLIDING.

Wait... what?

Is this Todd VanDerWerff trying to tell me I should try watching Cougar Town?
