Title: Mark Mulder sploogefest
Post by: Andy on September 05, 2007, 09:02:42 PM
He's still going, but so far:

3 IP
8 hits
6 runs
6 earned
1 walk
1 K
1 HR (3-run shot by Ronny Paulino)
18.00 ERA

He has gotten Cesar Izturis out three times, though.  So he's got that going for him.

Whither Roy Hobbs, and his assumed, inaccurate generalizations about us?

I forgot to throw in a "lefty" in the midst of the rant.

Maroth, Mulder, Reyes and Kip Fucking Wells? Two converted relievers in Looper and Wainwright? A DFA in Piniero? How does BC sleep at night?

Cards had their unexplainable run, they'll fade. Badly.

He sleeps well because he always confuses Kip Wells with Kip Winger.

The blow-dried chest hairs are awesome.

Does this mean they'll send Mulder for the make-up game on Monday?

I check CBS Sportsline for the upcoming pitching match ups. According to that he's not due to pitch until Tuesday against the Reds. The Deadbirds have Mike Maroth starting tonight so that should be fun. The Pirates counter with a AAA call up making his first start tonight.

CBS doesn't have probables for the makeup game. A winner is us.

wow, you guys sure have a lot of confidence for a team that's 2 games up on a really shitty team from down south. If this was the year for them to win it all(or even just the division), why wouldn't the Cubs be 10 games up on everybody in a shitty division?

Assumed inaccurate generalizations? They aren't inaccurate if the season isn't over yet. Still plenty of baaseball left.

All signs point to a Kip Wells-Ted Lilly match-up in Wrigley on Monday (according to mlb.com and the Post-Dispatch).

Oh, there it is.

Confidence? I must have skipped over the confidence thread and went right onto "Fuck the Gutless Assholes" thread and it's cousin, the "Trax Sploogefest!11!!!11eleven" thread. There are numerous others too numerous to count.

But you go, Roy. Keep doing what you do. BC needs someone to keep him company and you're just the guy to cuddle with him when the nightlight finally burns out.

Hey Roy, the Cards didn't exactly dominate the shitty NL Central during "their year" last season. In fact, they nearly folded the last two weeks.

Rather than pile on, I'll just commend your use of the Dutch spelling.

Or, what Apex said.  Thank you for making the case so simple with your demonstration.  You're like BC--you don't even know who you're talking to.

Actually, I just wanted to point out how bad Mulder pitched because he's a cock.

The rest is just a bonus.

One never knows where the hell a thread will go. Except we haven't gone to emo poetry yet - and if we do, I'm hunting mo'fos down and cracking heads.
