OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

If you'll go that far, you might as well take the next step ... get one that says "Yellon Sucks"

Kenneth needs to make a rap album.

Or at least a music video with Mariah Caray.

I want to go to this, but I don't know what the vibe is.  Some people are excited to go.  Some people are saying this is going to be a trainwreck full of shit.  Which is it?  What will it be?  STAY TUNED.

creepily knocking on the back door of another apartment, asking if "Bad Kermit and TDubbs are there."

I lol'ed and I'm not afraid to say it.

The seeds for a Desipio Convention had been sown once before by Andy, and then followed up by the late Jake Potter (R.I.P.), who even posted this (even if he's dead, his words live on). We even polled possible locations, and Des Moines, home of the Rally Carp (R.I.P.), polled better than Jim Oberweis normally does.

Recapping: 2004 (with puzzling Dusty Baker love), 2005 (long version), 2006, 2007, 2008

In short, it's even creepier than you fear.

I think that the Sloth has a favorite place in Black Lung, Illinois that would do nicely.

I bet TDubbs is a regular.

But only because he thinks it's a part of the female anatomy.

So, I recently acquired an XM Radio for Xmas and I am attempting to figure out which of the subscription packages to get.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Specifically, does anyone know how much the multi-year or year-long plans cost?

First time caller, so I'll hang up and wait for my response.

Get the Sirius package so you can listen to the Howard stations.  The afternoon drive show on 101 is the funniest shit on radio.

Alright you knuckleheads, take off your headsets, pull your pants up, finish your YooHoo, and haul your sorry asses up the stairs from Mom's Basement to mom's living room. Settle down in dad's recliner, put on your smoking jacket, light up a pipe, and do some book-learning. It's about WWII, comic books, and escape artists, and it is outstanding.

And if that isn't enough for you, there's some ghey stuff too. So read it, ya homos.

Me and my girlfriend she's canadian we met at niagara falls you wouldn't know her read this to each other on a road trip in 2004.  I thought it was fascinatingly written, with incredible detail and depth.  She thought it was boring and misogynistic.

Did you do the voices?

He made finger puppets of all the characters.

It's not cool to taunt anyone so crazy that even his fake girlfriend doesn't enjoy spending time with him.

Alas, a handful of Desipiots have met her.

I'm not sure I understand. You read it out loud to each other? Like reading a kid a bedtime story? You Canadians are a strange breed.

You've never gone on a long road trip with somebody and read out loud to that person while he/she was driving, and vice versa?

Granted, we have since then bought iPods, adapters, and found places to get audio books, but back in aught three and aught four, we read all sorts of books to each other while traveling from Toronto to B.C. and back again, and then the next year to Newfoundland and back again.

Looks like from the comment section that Kurt Evans will be the next to be on the banned list.

I don't see it happening.  Al is afraid of the frightening, all-encompassing power of ... THE GOAT RIDERS OF THE APOCALYPSE, biatches.

Until he reads that..

Why would he ban KurtEvans for something DwightKurtz said on Desipio?  Besides, that post of mine was sammiched between two people whose avatars are boobilicious women.  Nobody's paying attention to what I say.  I hate Canada, it's fuckin cold up there!  I'm the biggest capitalist-loving label whore you've ever met!  Apex was right - I'm a piece of shit!  But you're not reading this because of the boobs!

Actually what I liked best was the TCobb guy who posted below that cunning Kurt Evans fellow.  Apparently 1) a mature individual with a deeper respect for the Cubs makes for a natural ban-meister, 2) banned people who never post on BCB get kicked off because of the character they've yet to portrait (sic), and 3) Al Yellon is approachable to the people who recognize him and say hello not because it tickles his ego for it to happen, but because of his natural kindness.  Good to know.

I heard Hendry say on Boers and Bernstein today that he considers Kerry Wood a younger "brother." He said that they'll be friends for the rest of their lives. He also said that when Wood retires he'll always have a spot with the team, whether it's as a coach, advisor, consultant, Spring Training instructor, ambassador, whatever he wants. He said that Kerry has the potential to earn money elsewhere that the Cubs are not in a position to pay him right now and he should go do it.

So if you're mad at Hendry for Kerry Wood leaving the Cubs you're a bit off base. Like Moises Alou, you're not paying attention and you deserve to get hosed.

And now, I'm going to bitch and whine because Kerry Wood will be pitching for the Dodgers next year.

FUUUUUUUDFJ;lkasdjfgkl;ajwl;kfgjpq;iojrwfp;ijrwf...

Ok. I feel better now.

THIS.  THIS.  THIS.

Kerry Wood IS the Cubs for me.  He and I came up at the same time.  And if I were Jim Hendry, I'd have let him walk, too - and I, too, would have hated having to do it.

In a parallel Universe, the one where Hendry just gave Kerry a 4-year, $35m deal, I'm going to be watching this message board to see the weeping and gnashing of teeth half way through next season when Wood's shoulder gives up once and for all.  I hope that parallel Hendry is ready for a rough ride from the fans.

Wood to you is Andre Dawson to me.  My first year as a Cub fan was Andre's first year as a Cub ... then, when I turned 13 he was gone.

If the parallel is accurate, then cheer up chum.  You just became a man, although you now have to deal with a decade of self confidence issues and you're a long way off from getting laid for the first time.  ...yeah, on second thought, the comparison kind of falls apart.
