Ian Stewart - hopefully permanently.  I know he's only twenty-seven, and I wouldn't rule out him being a productive major-leaguer before all's said and done.  I just don't want him on the Cubs' payroll while we all find out.

And the Cubs have signed Japanese closer Kyuji Fujikawa. The deal will be for two years with an option for a third season. Fujikawa will be in a battle with Carlos Marmol for the Cubs' closing job if the team can't trade Marmol. Fujikawa had 202 saves in Japan during the last 6 years. 1.36 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 12.4 K/9, and 2.3 BB/9 in 369 2/3 innings.
