Well, that resolves the depth issue. Looks like Soler will get a full season in left.

Or Zobrist. Or Bryant. It's a good thing the team is fucking stacked. They still have Rizzo, Zobrist and Heyward doing damage from the left side too. Jesus. They can't withstand very many more of these but they're well set up to absorb it now.

What a pussy.  Babe Ruth never tore his ACL.

I blame Lackey.

I can get behind this.

Torn ACLs are the new syphillis.

Co-sign.

I feel bad for Schwarber.  I think the Cubs will be fine to make the playoffs (barring any more catastrophes), but their odds of winning it all might've dipped a tad by losing the all-time franchise leader in postseason home runs.

Still, I feel a lot worse for Schwarber than I do the Cubs.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I've often wondered how situations like this work. Schwarber will have surgery and begin rehabbing his muscles and tendons and all that, but in the meantime...is he allowed to hang out in the clubhouse and dugout? I put myself in his hulking shoes and to me I'd want to be there every waking second.

Previously, he'd have been in Arizona, getting mended there, but with the Cubs' new facilities, he can indeed now have his treatment at Wrigley and will be in the Clubhouse on a regular, if not daily basis.

Now they just need to give him a helmet with fake hands glued on top, and he'll be good to go.

I think players on the DL are allowed to be in the dugout during games, but can't participate in any sort of on-field activity.

I assume he's just hanging out in the new party room all the time.
