I thought her Forrest Gump impression was funny.  This one did have more of a 'very special' feel, though.

Yeah there were some funny moments but it was a bit of a dud. Not sure why they made this week and last week a two-parter, didn't seem like there was enough material for an hour.

I think they really wanted to move the plot forward with the Michael and Holly thing.  But then he never actually saw Holly, so it seemed like a lot of fanfare for nothing.  The plot-driven episodes are still fine, but I think the show is funnier when they aren't pushing a storyline.

That said, Dwight adding touch football, mating and charades to the party ideas was great.

It works better in half hour chunks. I didn't like last season when they stretched some episodes to an hour, and this two-parter was the same thing. Other than Jim and Dwight is was a pretty average show last night.

I don't think you're wrong.  But why think about it? 

I was juxtaposing what I thought Jim's idea of a fun party was with Dwight's, and that added to the humor.  At least in my brain.
