Was Rizzo's homerun tonight fair? Amazingly the Cubs website doesn't have the Cubs broadcast of the full debacle, but has the Pirates broadcast, and I was at the game, so hell if I know.

Were Len and J.D. really that critical that they can't post the Cubs footage?

The firebarn should be engineered to burn very quickly - and certainly fast enough to not last more than 2 innings.

His August/September/Postseason #s last year were putrid (WHIP north of 1.5, not missing as many bats).  His stuff this season has hardly seemed electric - the numbers are better than they were at the end of the year last year, but his failure to consistently miss bats and hard contact against him point to him being closer to his awful numbers to end last season than his electric numbers prior to last August.

Had the assholes found a way to roll over to the 49ers last season, they could've had Trubinsky without giving up anything.  I know the 49ers were wretched, and someone has to win, but why last year's team played to win that late in the season is mind boggling.

How long until DFA-ing Stop is an option?  He's becoming a massive liability.  Also, whoever had the idea to throw Cutch 4 straight sliders when the guy can't hit a 95 mph fastball anymore needs to spend some more time with the opposing scouting reports.

Pitching Lackey was easily the worst decision of Maddon's managerial career.  If they go to Kluber, you have to go to Lester, especially down a game.  Period.

For as bad as Heyward is...Soler dogging it out of the box cost him 90 feet and tying the game.  And for that lack of effort, this guy can get shipped wherever in the offseason, and I seriously won't give a fuck.  Gutless.

I'm pretty sure someone will have to go Tonya Harding on his knee to keep him out of LF this weekend.
