QuoteWood made one mistake, giving up a 3-run homer to Jeff Bianchi in the second inning on a 3-0 pitch. It was Bianchi's first major-league home run. Bianchi briefly was property of the Cubs last winter.

Epstink is terrible.

I don't think grooving a 3-0 pitch to a shitty hitter is a mistake. Those guys rarely have the green light.

Falling behind 3-0 with two on seems like a litany of mistakes to me.

Maybe he was using the balls to set up the strikes.

Yeah, except if Miles is pointing to a 3-0 get-me-over to a number 8 hitter as his "only mistake", then his analysis is somewhat wanting.

So we all agree.

Except that 99% of the time he's red-lighted on 3-0. Just getting it over isn't especially smart when you're pitching to Ryan Braun, but this was Jeff Bianchi.

He wouldn't have been in the cubs organization if he couldn't hit dingers.

OK, everyone you've ever called an idiot -- me, Phil Rogers, Chuck, Mike Quade, KurtEvans, Gordon Wittenmeyer, Joe Carter, Bowie Kuhn, Rich Kotite, Michael Barrett, Jeff Joniak, Fro Dog, Bruce Weber, et. al -- deserves a big apology today. It's 4 days after the fact, but I became aware of this little column from the cognitively-degenerative-diseased Rick Telander, and this tops anything any of these guys might say.

I don't know where to begin in tearing this apart. I just ask how this could get published on a bathroom wall, let alone a so-called big-city daily.

I think Biggsy's transparent "I hate my job and Jay Cutler is mean in press conferences" shtick has finally overcome his hilarious obsession with fringe NFL players who were nice to him in the locker room and sometimes useful tidbits of information. So yeah that's right I'm going to UNFOLLOW his tweats. Any recommendations for informative Bears/NFL follows who actually enjoy covering the sport?

Sean Jensen's informative, rational, rarely biased. Unless, as Slaky's pointed out, you say something bad about Jesus.

God dammit I may have to go back Biggsy. Yes he's an insufferably misanthropic meatbag but this Sean Jensen character is filling up my feed with too much non-Bears fluff. STICK TO BEARS FOOTBAW WE PAY YOUR CELERY!

I missed the Totally Unreadable catalyst (a post on FoxNews.com from some guy who waited until his wedding night to have sex), but this fisking by KSK is outstanding.
