OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Mom's Basement / 15 Most Influential Games of the Decade
December 30, 2009, 09:45:48 AM
Finally, a list that labels itself correctly.  I think they actually did a really good job.  It's hard to argue against most of the games that show up here.  Discuss and battle it out.

It's that time of year for horror films.  Anyone else been seeing all about this?

Desipio Lounge / Twins SPLOOGEFEST

God damn I love this team.  After treading water at .500 for both July and August AND losing Justin Morneau, the Twins have gone 16-9 in September (11-2 since Morneau went down).  They just knocked off the Tigers in 10 innings to pull within 1 game of the AL Central lead.  Plus, they give the White Sox fits.  I might actually watch their postseason.

Paperback Writer / Sci-Fi
May 08, 2009, 02:39:42 PM
Anyone have good recommendations (either new or old) in sci-fi?  I've been in a sci-fi mood.  I'm reading Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson right now, and I just ordered Odd John and Sirius, Last and First Men, and Star Maker by Olaf Stapledon from Amazon based on a friend's recommendation.

Mom's Basement / Red Dead Redemption
February 05, 2009, 11:34:36 AM
Red Dead Revolver was, without a doubt, the best Western game I've played, and it was one of my overall favorites on the original Xbox.  It's backwards-compatible on the 360 for you guys interested in trying it out, and it's only $5 used.  Rockstar is making a sequel called Red Dead Redemption for the 360 and PS3 due out this fall.  It's going to be open-world, sandbox style Western game.  Hopefully, they will keep the old controls and not make it control like GTA IV.

Mom's Basement / MLB 2K9

I'm going to start a thread in here so I don't ANGER up Huey's ANGER on the general board.  They released the list of features, and I'm actually encouraged.  Looks like VC is going to fix a lot of the stuff that made the last game so disjointed.
