OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Billy Zabka!

I'm sorry for the reply now, but the fact is I rarely click on this thread because I don't have volume on my work computer.  My thinking is I'll check it when I'm home but then I just end up letting them stockpile.

I thought this was pretty hilarious, if awfully weird.

I had wondered what happened to that guy.  He totally had that one role down pat--the "asshole, sorta privaleged young white punk".  Not only did he play that role in "Karate Kid", but also "Just One Of The Guys" (where those of us who were in our teens were floored by Joyce Heyser's mazamazboombahs) and then Rodney's "Back To School".  He was the same asshole in all 3.  And then he disappeared.

I like also how they mixed in "Raising Arizona".  He does a pretty god Hi.

And am I being totally obvious by mentioning the Ask A Ninja?

Edited to point out that a quick  search on IMDB reveals that Bill Zabka not only didn't disappear, but actually got an Oscar nomination for a short film in 2003.  Christ on a bike.

Well damn it all.

I had the opportunity to hang out with Dennis Haskins recently. I asked him about his appearance on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but totally forgot about Zabka's opus here.

I'd kind of like to know what it was like to work with Matt Clement.

My brother has hung out with him two years in a row, some good pictures from those meetings. The guy looks terrible, but maybe you know him. Is everything going alright for him? I guess he's good friends with Jim Kelly since he's always at the guy's summer charity ball. And he's always hammered.

I wish I could get to it from work...I'll get it and post it from home tonight. Dennis has a bandaid on his head...hysterical. I can only guess what he fell and cracked his skull on after one too many whiskey sours.

I'd hit it.

New internet rule of thumb: The greater the lengths YouTube commenters go to say you're "really very very pretty," the lower your actual attractiveness quotient.

Guh.

This Jeremy fella seems like a real winner, too. He's gotta like the sound of this, though:

QuoteJeremy is 6'4". That puts more than 3 feet between them.

He was a guest at my friends' wedding a few weeks ago. He was college roommates with the father of the groom. Given the average age of the wedding attendees, however, he was effectively the guest of honor.

It can't be easy to get on with your life in acting after launching yourself into the public consciousness through such a nostalgia-ready, generation-defining pop culture juggernaut, all cameos aside (he said he was just back from filming this new National Lampoon movie with fellow typecastees Curtis "Booger" Armstrong and Adam West -- and directed by the guy who did Better Off Dead).

He must do fairly well for himself strictly on the personal appearance front. More importantly, I gather that he enjoys it, too. I'm sure the complimentary booze doesn't hurt.

I have to say he seemed very understanding about all of the attention he gets, considering that this can't have been the first time he's been asked by drunk twenty-something guys for a status report on Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. Or about Jessie Spano's pep-pill problem. Didn't act annoyed at all. I'm sure the booze helps matters here, too, of course.

Favorite Haskins moment of the weekend: Dennis shows up a bit late to the rehearsal dinner and finds his assigned already seat taken. The father of the groom guides him over to an empty seat next to my mom, who is a pastor and was serving as officiant for the wedding. One of the groom's aunts runs over, gestures towards my mom and tells Dennis, "You know, she's single, too."

Classic 1979 KISS interview with Tom Snyder

Here is just the key clip, in which an out-of-his-mind Ace Frehley tells Snyder that he's a plumber on the side, to which Snyder responds: "Well, listen, I've got a little piece of pipe backstage I'd like to have you work on... You old sweet-talker you"...

Gene looks less than thrilled.

One more: Ask A Ninja : Question 47 : "Ninja Movie Pitch"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZi66YMb6Z4

"...until the ninja figures out this code that was written by Leonardo da Vinci, who has to be played by Shia LaBeouf or I am walking away right now. I will not do this picture if it is not Shia LaBeouf... or Jessica Alba. You know what would be great?... How 'bout a kabuki marionette voiced by Dane Cook?"
