OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I realize that Marshall isn't the next Steve Carlton, but he's a seviceable 4th or 5th starter. They most likely will unload Cotts and keep Wells in the rotation now with Marshall in the pen as the sole lefty. If it makes for a better team, so be it, but I feel bad for Marshall for getting yanked around so much. He deserves to be in the rotation.

Seriously, this surprises anybody?

Not surprised. No element of surprise anymore with this team.

Great trade. We get a guy who has a mysterious dumpster injury at a time we need him most, and is questioned with regard to his toughness after recovering, coupled with a starter who gives us 5-6 innings every 2 weeks and may need at least a scope. What did Philly have to give Beane to get Blanton? For us, while it seemed to be a steal at the time, it now looks to be garbage in, garbage out.

Let's not forget that part, regardless of what happens with Harden and Gaudin (both of whom I still have faith in).

Yep. Don't think we got hornswaggled. I did like Gallagher, though I don't see him as anything greater than a servicable #4 or 5 starter.

This piece of shit. I'm sure he or others would defend him by saying he 'only' gave up 3, and that the team didn't hit, but there's a reason he never wins a lot of games, and it's that it's deflating to his teammates to see this retard out there on the mound. Cubs win 5 in a row, Brewers lose 5 in a row, Sheets has all the pressure in the world on him (and would eventually cave in, in his way), Cubs need only to win the last two games to clinch, so naturally Marquis goes out and gives up 3 runs before getting an out. Then he 'settles down'. What a faggot this guy is. Playoffs can't come soon enough, get this asshole off the field.

It's far from impossible to disagree with this.

Actually, I'm not one of the "others". I posted immediately after the 1st inning. A feeble attempt at sarcasm, I guess.

Only a 3 run first. Not bad.

With Philly and Milwaukee tied at 3 in the 8th:

B:0 S:0 O:0 - Pitcher Change: Brian Shouse replaces Guillermo Mota, batting 9th.
B:0 S:0 O:1 - Chase Utley out on a sacrifice bunt, pitcher Brian Shouse to first baseman Prince Fielder. Jayson Werth to 2nd.
B:4 S:0 O:1 - Brian Shouse intentionally walks Ryan Howard.
B:0 S:1 O:1 - Pat Burrell singles on a ground ball to left fielder Ryan Braun. Jayson Werth scores. Ryan Howard to 2nd.
B:0 S:0 O:1 - Offensive Substitution: Pinch runner Eric Bruntlett replaces Pat Burrell.
B:1 S:0 O:1 - Shane Victorino homers (12) on a fly ball to left center field. Ryan Howard scores. Eric Bruntlett scores.

With access to Fox Sports Midwest, I'm enjoying this way too much. If you can get into that bullpen, they're done.
