OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Brilliant show.

Meant to bring this up, finally saw the final episode on BBC.

The end was kind of disturbing. Are we ready to talk about it?

I loved the end.  No way the series ends like that in the US.  (Actually, the way the series will end in the US is by being cancelled after three episodes.)

We knew it couldn't be '70s Sam dreaming or hallucinating about the '00s stuff, because he dropped too many references through the show about stuff he couldn't possibly have known about (hell, he made a Delorean joke in the finale.)  So yeah, I guess the end was kind of disturbing.  Good, though.  I'd have done the same thing.

I'm gonna miss Annie and her Valerie Bertinelli haircut, most of all.

I got a chance to watch this last night.  I liked the ending a lot, particularly the Guv yelling, "You namby-faced pansy" (or something along those lines) at Sam as they drove away.  I thought it was clear right when Sam got back "home" what was going to happen.  It was an awesome throwback at the end to hear "Life on Mars" with the camera circling him on the roof, just like when he first arrived in 1973.

I missed the DeLorean reference.  Damnit.

I'm definitely buying this series when they release the DVDs in America.  What a great show.

The first two episodes of the new series 'Ashes to Ashes' are now available at this site: http://www.tv-links.cc/tv/index.html

I only got a chance to watch a few minutes of the first episode. They explain what happened to Sam Tyler.

I finally watched the second season. Totally agree that there's no way the ending would be like that over here; not with it's positive depiction of suicide. Now to dig up Ashes to Ashes...

Favorite line from the finale:

Ray: I got shot because of you
Sam: I know. I'm truly sorry Ray.
Ray: Still, I met a bird. Medical bird.
Sam: They're called nurses.
Ray: Big tits, ass like two Cox's Pippins in a bag.
Sam: She sounds enigmatic.
Ray: No, she was from Barnsley.
