They missed out on a great way to end that level at the airport.  Instead of taking one in the head from Makarov, why not just have him wound you and leave, and then you're suck trying to fight your way back through the airport with a whole mess of angry Russians coming after you?

Because then you'd have a chance to explain you're an undercover agent and what's going on.  All the Russians know is an American helped kill an airport filled with civilians.  Or maybe they still knew he was undercover...this game really sucks at explaining.

Possible new game modes.

Since this site is banned at work, could you help a brother out and tell me what new modes there are going to be?  Is regular team tactical amongst them?

Someone dug into the code in the PC game and found mention of three gametypes that (one would assume) are already on the disc and will be unlocked as DLC:

1) VIP - It's the same as the Counter-Strike mode, which if you aren't familiar, has you rescuing and then escorting an AI (or possibly human?) player to a safe zone.
2) Capture the Flag - One flag between two teams.  Pretty straightforward.
3) Global Thermonuclear War - Once side captures, I'm assuming, a nuke and the round ends when either the team detonates it, or the other team defends it for long enough.

I thought CTF was already unlocked.

I think the CTF in the game now has one flag for each team, whereas the new one has one flag total.  I haven't tried CTF yet though, so I'm not sure.

How have you guys been doing with knifing people? I did more knife kills in a single match than i ever did in Mw1.

Putting together a sub machine gun, marathon, lightweight, and commando and you can wreck some havoc. Wasteland I think is the easiest map to use this combination on as you can run so fast that you can get around and behind your enemies and just take them out at will.

Skid Row is a good map where speed counts. You can almost always rush the edges of the map and get to the side of the enemy team especially if they are on the side with the playground. The enemy team usually sits in the windows waiting for the other team to come straight at them. That is the map where i got 8 knife kills in that room and no one saw me coming, got the ninja title as well for that.

Afghan is another good map for speed as they like to get on top of the hill and snipe, most times 2-4 people are on that hill early and its just free kills. They just don't think you can get there that fast.

Been experimenting with the riot shield and that is fun but its a test in patience and tactics. I had fun just being a decoy for my team mates and getting a chuckle at how the other team would freak out as i slowly approached them. They would just instantly forget about the 2 team mates behind me and shoot at me, while my team picked them off.

If you want to get a nuke, get harrier strike and pavelow and get it on a map like Wasteland where your team controls the tunnels. At one time you will have a harrier jet hovering over head and a helicopter to cover all spawn points. It's a turkey shoot. The fastest 25 kills you will ever get.

I play under IShockIWaveI, if you want to send a friend invite over. I played a little bit with Irish on headquarters but i tend to stick to team deathmatch.

I've heard of a lot of players using a loadout like that lately.  Apparently if you get a care package and activate it so you're holding the flare, you move even faster than if you have an SMG.  My friend said he was playing against some guy that had that on with Lightweight, Commando, etc. and the guy was just moving too fast to shoot.  He was weaving back and forth and got up close enough to knife my friend before he could land a shot.

I was absolutely tearing people apart with the MPK5, Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Scrambler Pro.  I found it effective at running around and flanking the enemy and then destroying them from behind.

Is it just me, or does the P90 seem really overpowered in this game?

DPD, but I have what might probably end up being a dumb question.

So, I am attempting to get two of the last pro perk rewards, namely the SitRep and the Cold Blooded reward.

I understand the objective for SitRep, but what does the game mean by "Destroy 40 Enemy Killstreak Rewards?"  Does this mean I have to destory some combination of 40 planes, sentry guns, helicopters, and airdrops?

Anyone got any clue on this, because the reward for Cold Blooded (No Red-Crosshair or Name When Targeted) sounds pretty cool.

Yea. That's exactly what it means. I was perplexed on how to achieve that b/c you can't really shoot down a helicopter easily with this, and I was thinking you would just get it by knifing sentry guns. Maybe stopping power, but not cold-blooded. Pull out a javelin and do it. To get this one (and I'm working on it now), I am using Scar (or M16) along with the Javelin, and my perks are Scavenger (I like to kill people with random Javelin kills so getting replenished is nice), Cold-Blooded, and Steady Aim (that one's just kind of for the hell of it)

I think it might be easy to use the Javelin to take out the UAVs (as they don't shoot at you) and the knife for the Sentry Guns.

Also, you mentioned the SCAR just now.  I think that gun is absolute steak sauce if you use it with Sleight of Hand and Stopping Power.
