we need a good taco thread. Since we really don't have one.
Antique Taco: Okay but way overpriced.
birrieria zaragoza: The balls*.
Big Star: Okay, dig the pork belly
Arturo's Lengua is solid

I prefer burritos...is Las Americas on Belmont (between Southport & Racine) still open?
Oleg once took me to a little Mom and Pop Mexican BYOBB place more or less opposite Rosa's out on W Armitage. The Mom literally came out of the family room in the back to cook for us when we arrived, the kids waited on us, and I'm not even sure they had a menu - but the burrito was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. I don't know if it's still there, but if it is, it would be well worth a visit. They were super, super friendly, too.

Been "closed for re-modling" for at least 3 years now

True story--there's a Taco Bell at the Ogilvie Transportation Center which I have often hit up for my train ride home whenever I'm working past 8. I'd say in the past year, I've eaten there at least 20 times and
ever single time I get the same thing:
3 (or 4) Crispy Potato Soft TacosTo the point where the black dudes cooking in back see me coming and make sure they have enough potatoes.
I've never had anything else from there during this time.
I know. Shocking.

I've told you before, you fat fuck--I DON'T LIKE CABBAGE.
I'm also ambivalent about bacon.
But I
do love me some potatoes.

and stupid.
Also, what the fuck is a potato taco?

You're
both [bad at being Irish]

Add "bad at reading and/or grammar" to the list.

According to the internet, this is a crispy potato soft taco.
So you've consumed at least 60-80 tacos full of lettuce, cheese, "pepper jack sauce" and hash browns?
Lettuce, Cheese, Cheese, Potato.
What the fuck is wrong with you?

This begs the question - now that you've found a deal comparable to the Bacci $5 slice in both proximity to Wrigley and pound of food per dollar ratio, which hearty meal do you stuff in your fanny pack before heading into the ballpark?

For any of you in the Western 'burbs, I highly recommend 'Los Dos' in Downers Grove. It's in a strip mall behind a Fmaily Video (I'd love to know how those places stay open)...amazing pulled pork tacos...and if you get anything other than the house made corn tortillas you're a Paul.
My understanding is it's a family operation, with a husband/wife at the head. Husband's from around here, wife is from the Yucatan area of Mexico.
They have daily specials posted to Facebook...I grabbed the shrimp ceviche for 9.75 today.
