Andrew Loog Oldham's follow-up to "Stoned" - HBO is making a "Stoned" miniseries.

Where "Stoned" is basically Loog's observations on the British pop scene, this one is more about the Stones. It's a great companion piece to Keef's book.

If Mick ever bothered to write a book, it would never be this open. These books really provide a lot of context for the music of the era.

Twain worked on his memoirs in fits and starts over many years, and stipulated in his will that no memoirs be published until 100 years after his death.

The compilation of various notes and anecdotes into a narrative this large must have been painstaking, and the editors do spend a little too much time patting themselves on the back, however well deserved.

But this is pretty much necessary reading. Outstanding.
