DPD. I'm willing to declare the Leinenkugel's "Summer Shandy" a perfectly acceptable budget choice for swampy weather.

The "Raspberry Weiss" remains a simple invitation to overwhelming fruit-fly infestation.

Went to UW's Memorial Union Terrace tonight and they pitcher's of this for $9. Completely agree with you. Fuggin' cuakers or something.

I will go on record with my agreement.

Summer Shandy is good. Stiegl Radler is the same type of beer and is a lot better.

That's the Leinenkugel one, right?

Which? The Leinenkugel or the Stiegl?

Yes if the former, no if the latter.

The former.

Yeah, that's the Leinenkugel one.

That's the stuff made with Lemonade, right?

Very surprised to hear it's good, but pleased nonetheless.

Is it like "1-2 at most" good or "I can drink these all day" good?

1-2 at the most.

Stop this right now.  Summer Shandy is terrible.  You're better off drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Slow down the hatewagon, blanco nino. We just said it was perfectly acceptable, not that it was spongeworthy.

Now, spongeworthy...

I don't know if it's been covered here or not since I can't see most pictures due to my work filter, but I had one of these last night:

I liked it.  Of course, I'm a fan of fruity beers.  This beer isn't heavy, but it does have a 5.2% alcohol content.  It's labeled as a banana bread beer, but the banana flavor isn't overly strong.  It tastes more like an amber-style beer with sweet banana flavoring.  Like I said, I liked it a lot.  Which means I'm fully expecting Oleg to hate it and most everyone else here to point and laugh.

But, if you haven't tried it, give it a shot.  Do grocery stores up there sell alcohol in them?  I know some states don't allow it, or they are required to have separate alcohol sections, like in Florida.  Anyway, if your local grocery store is known for having a decent selection of beers, they're more than likely to have Well's in single bottles on the cooler shelf.
