DFH Chicory Stout tonight - what a wonderful beer, though not that fitting for 110 degrees, which is probably why it's a winter seasonal that's been on the shelf for 8 months.

I've a feeling that I've mentioned this somewhere before but to say that Spaten is the poor relation of Munich beers would be a huge understatement.  I know plenty of Muencheners who would rather drink almost anything else, up to and including drain cleaner, or even Foster's.

It's becoming increasingly clear that BH and I are at opposite ends of the taste in beer scale.  I like, you know... good beer.

Hofbrau Dunkel, anybody?  I thought it was good.  I also had some Japanese brews on Saturday night.  I had the Hitachino Nest Sweet Stout and Weizen.  Both were very good.

I can officially confirm that Aprihop is not good beer.

It doesn't taste much like apricots at all, and it takes a few sips to really appreciate the not-goodness of it.

Just a nice IPA ruined with a strange sweetness at the end.
