Yeah, I played a bit of Pure for the PC.  It didn't control well, but it's probably better on the nerdbox.  I didn't care for the one Silent Hill game I've played before, but for $10 I'll probably pick up that Devil May Cry.  So between those two and the MS points I'll have to buy to pick up the Nothing's Shocking pack for Rock Band, I'm an economy stimulatin sumnabitch this week.

Don't know if anyone ever makes it out to Fry's Electronics, but had to go there today to pick up some cables and junk and picked up a MS Live subscription card for $16 instead of the normal $20.  The 12 month ones were only $40 instead of $50.  I love that store.

The 360 is featured in Amazon's Gold Box deals today.  CoD: World at War is the deal right now for $40.  You already missed Fallout 3 Collector's Edition for $47, IDIOT.

Is that why it's called "Deal of the DAY"?  I SEE WHAT THEY DID THERE!

Weebs is right.  But World at War is only available until noon.

I'm guessing the 10 AM deal is going to be HAWX.  I've been wanting to buy that game for a while, but even at the $40 price tag they dropped it down to, I don't think it's worth it.  I played the demo and had a lot of fun, but there just doesn't seem to be much depth.  Hopefully the deal price is really cheap.  Also, it could very well be a Ghost Rider game...

I'd guess the next deal is that Velvet Assassin, maybe.  Seems like there will also be at least one or two Guitar Hero/Rock Band games, the limited edition of Halo Wars, and Quantum of Solace.

Edit: It's Battlefield: Bad Company, not Velvet Assassin.

I think the sequel comes out sometime in the next few months.  It looked kind of cool, but I've always been a huge fan of the regular Battlefield games on the PC.  This one seems a lot different, but the destructible environments are pretty awesome.

Sir, you are fucking correct.  I picked up Battlefield:  Bad Company a long time ago, but before I bought the game I played the demo nonstop.  The complete version is outstanding, and they supposedly updated their servers for better connections (maybe, or something).  Anyway, the multiplayer is outstanding.  I finally got my little brother to get into it and it's even more fun with an actual teammate that, y'know...works with you.

I heartedly endorse this game, but BBC2 is coming out in early 2010 and it looks flat out balltacular.  In the new game, you can now outfit your guns how you choose, like Call of Duty.  You couldn't do that in the original, which is limited to a relatively small weapons loadout.  Still, riding in tanks, humvees, golf carts, light tanks, technical buggies, technical boats (called cutters in the game) and even helis is really fun.  In large tanks, up to four people can ride.  One driver (who mans the main artillery), a main machine gunner and two flank machine guns.  The helis support two person crews and you can fit three or four in a humvee.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "If you are a racist, I will attack you with the North."  And, these are the priciples I carry with me in the workplace.

BF1943 is going to be so half assed!  12 vs 12 compared to the 32 vs 32, only three maps at launch which are all just maps for BF1942.  Sure the destructible environments will be cool and I think it's going to be an arcade only title and probably around $20 instead of a full $60 but they'll end up releasing more maps you end up paying for anyway.  I was a huge BF on the PC fan (every version and every expansion bought within the week they came out) so I just don't know about this one.  I loved the 64 player madness.

I agree.  BF1943 looks disappointing.  They delayed the PC version till next year, so I really don't care about it anymore.  All the other games in the series (Vietnam being the lone exception for me) have been outstanding.  I just reinstalled 2142, and I thought that was a really good game, though most critics seemed to dislike it.  Things seemed to be move a bit slower, or at least more controlled, which is necessary for a game that requires a lot of precision but relies so heavily on network performance.  I actually preferred the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 over BF2, although that game did pretty much start the customizable/upgradeable kits that so many FPS games now use.
