OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I was actually thinking about this at the rooftop...maybe if we kept all our Yellon bashing to a separate thread that didn't have his name in it...like if we could have a thread about Happy Days in the TV section or something where we just posted all the bullshit about BCB.

Of course now we'll have to use a different thread and a different section since the spy is going to look for Happy Days, but you get where I'm coming from.

We should start a Happy Days thread.  That show was choice.

Now won't the spy know to look for a thread that doesn't seem to fit?

So, anyone else watch the new episode?

I was a little disappointed to be honest.

I consider Mark DeRosa a close personal friend.

EG, I'll proudly pick up that positive flag if your head gets taken off by a cannonball.

Thanks.  Funny thing is, I live near some pirates and that nearly happened as I was getting in my car for work yesterday morning.

That's not funny.  That's almost Hancock-tragic.

Something like that would put everything in perspective.

Until everyone realized you were drunk and due to said drunkenness thought it would be a good idea to stare into a cannon.

No better way to take first place than via the walk-off wild pitch.

I only caught the postgame interview with DeRosa today, but from the way he talked, it sounds like this is a team that expects to go out and win every game. The whole "quiet confidence" thing is what strikes me as the biggest difference between this year's team and past teams.

We can worry about the Cardinals if they ever become a real threat (which I doubt). The worst thing to do right now is to look behind us and worry about another team catching up. The Cubs need to focus on winning, as they have been doing, and on overtaking the Brewers. As long as the Cubs keep on playing solid baseball, it won't matter how hot the Cardinals get, they won't catch up regardless.

76 for 261

.291/.365/.452

7 HR, 17 2B, 49 RBI

49 K, 30 BB

Games at :
1B : 6
2B : 45
3B : 22
SS : 1
RF : 10
PH : 4

Errors : 5

Okay, hands up, who saw this coming?  Not me, that's for sure - but De Rosa has been nothing short of rock solid all year.  His defense has been surpirsingly good, too, and his range is very respectable.  By comparison with his predecessor in the role, he's been a huge bonus, if only because he shuts up once in a while.  He also seems to be a good team guy - I've noticed him cheerleading in the dugout on more than one occasion and his reaction when he came back from the crapper to find out that Big Z had gone deep was priceless.

I heartiily positive Mark DeRosa.  Anybody else?

Yes. He's like Bizzaro Neifi.

Hell yeah.

I dunno what else to say. So I will not say anything else.

I think we all felt Toby's pain, never getting to see Pam in a 2-piece.

Meh, Pam in less than usual amounts of clothing is old news if one has seen Blades of Glory.

This show is simply God's way of making me feel better about the crapfest that has been the Cubs season thus far.

I have the whole 3rd season up to this point on my computer. After a Cubs loss, nothing heals the pain better than a couple episodes of the office.

This is a fantastic prank call. I watch it at least twice a day.

I guess there's some language involved, so don't click if you don't want to hear it.
