It's been seven hours and I still don't know why The Office might be interesting again. Is it the upcoming end of Robert California's tenure? Catherine Tate's awful character? The possibility we might find out why Gabe has suddenly has bangs? I NEED TO KNOW.

He said "might".

Mainly, Andy's poaching of DM's largest client, plus the possibility of a hostile takeover.

That, and Gabe's bangs.

You can just watch the old "Michael Scott Paper Company" shows.

btw . ..my mom finally texted me back.  She thinks Fork is the worst person to post on a "blog", but she really enjoys his unreal dance move.

It's really time to shoot this fucking show in the head. What could have been a decent story arc for the rest of this season into next was slapped together in less than an episode.

Wait, so we're throwing in the towel on the *might* theory after 1 more episode?

Nah, this was their last chance at getting better. A hostile takeover plotline could have had some decent character turns. Now you're left with nothing but Dwight's the dad/the Senator digs Oscar.

Kudos to Ricky Gervais for never letting the BBC Office get to this point.

The only thing that was interesting was when David Wallace reappeared.  Andy can't carry the show as the manager.

They screwed up by getting David Wallace out of the show. They spent 2 years meandering, trying to figure out what to do with Kathy Bates and Gabe, and Michael leaving and gave us a year of the totally incongruous David Spader, and nobody to play the straight man to the screwed up manager.

Rainn Wilson is supposedly getting a spinoff, Mindy Kaling is off to bigger and better things, and Helms and Krasinski have one more year in them.

Had they handled it well (and Fork's right; they didn't), you'd have David Wallace and Andy and another year of Pam and Jim (maybe halfway through the year they could relocate to Houston or somewhere far away), and maybe new faces could re-energize the show. The current characters are largely played out.

So much agree.  I thought I liked Spader's character, but the more he appears the more weird he gets and there's no point to his weirdness.  There's just plain weirdness.  It doesn't really work all that much.  Andy is funny, but he's not an authority figure in the office.  That also does not work.

I don't really know what works right now other than David Wallace.  Jim is still okay and so is Dwight.  It just feels like it's run its course.

Bumped for Huey.

I probably haven't seen a new Office episode since right around the time James Spader was on.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.
