OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Chip told me so.

Quote"You heard right," said TBS sports announcer Chip Caray, grandson of legendary Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Caray. "I'm a fan of Rush, to put it mildly. I tell people, and they go, 'Really?' which is sad. How many hate what they do? [Rush enjoys] what they do. One song goes, 'The pride of purpose in an unrewarding job.' I'm a 44-year-old who quotes Rush—so be it. I'm proud to be a fan, and I don't mind saying it. We're everywhere now."

Desipio Lounge / BananaHands Was Next on His List
February 18, 2009, 09:36:08 AM
If this face-eating chimp isn't 2009's story of the year, I'll eat Tdubbs' hat.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/17/chimpanzee.attack/index.html

QuoteNash had just arrived at Herold's house when Travis jumped on her and began biting and mauling her, causing serious injuries to her face, neck and hands, according to Stamford Police Capt. Rich Conklin. Conklin said the attack was unprovoked, but he described it as "brutal and lengthy."

QuoteThe chimp, who was known to walk around town, sometimes without a leash, also liked to surf on the Internet and was able to change the TV channel with a remote, according to a Stamford Advocate article. The paper also reported that Travis watered plants, was able to feed hay to his owner's horses, ate at a table with the rest of the family and sometimes drank wine from a stemmed glass.

I think I'm most anxious to find out how this story fits in with Yeti's theory of evolution.

The Old Feedbag / Burgers
January 19, 2009, 08:54:39 AM
Was I just being obtuse when skimming through thread titles in here, or is there really not one about outstanding beef burgers?

Five Guys on Clybourne, just south of Southport. In-N-Out type chain, just opened a couple months ago. Great burger, better fries.

Alright you knuckleheads, take off your headsets, pull your pants up, finish your YooHoo, and haul your sorry asses up the stairs from Mom's Basement to mom's living room. Settle down in dad's recliner, put on your smoking jacket, light up a pipe, and do some book-learning. It's about WWII, comic books, and escape artists, and it is outstanding.

And if that isn't enough for you, there's some ghey stuff too. So read it, ya homos.

If you enjoyed The Wire, or even if you haven't seen it, read this book. It's top-notch stuff by David Simon, one of the co-creators of the show. He followed around the Baltimore Homicide unit for a year, and much like The Wire, he paints a great picture of all aspects of a murder, from the crime itself to its investigation to its resolution in court. A lot of great anecdotes, characters, and stories used in the show came from this book.

Never been into comic books/graphic novels, but I got interested in this one when I saw it brought up in relation to the Desmond/time travel episode last season on Lost. Really cool book.

The movie doesn't come out for another year, but I'm pretty excited for this one.
