OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

When Samuel Jackson dies, you can see the words "BAD MOTHERFUCKER" on his lightsaber.

That said, I am going to place **** 1/4 expectations on it.
Prepare to be disappointed.

I will probably secure those five this weekend leading up to the filim, so I can lay some standards down proper, get a refresher on the SW vibe, get hyped for the theater, and reaffirm/adjust my current stances on the previous films.
Here's your summary:
Ep I: Kill the kid and put us out of our missery
Ep II: Nice battle.  Was there a plot and any acting worth talking about?

Ep IV: One of the most wonderful movies ever made.
Ep V: Thank god Leigh Brackett wrote it and not Lucas.
Ep: VI: Ewoks suck.  Couldn't they have been Wookies?

OK.  I've rented the first season.  Maybe it's the cold I've got, but I totally missed the "There's money in the banana stand" line.  I was sure he was talking about the insurance.

You gotta smile when Portia De "Rosie" gives her husband a detestful look as she asks if he is gay.

And I love H.O.O.P.

The Bernie Mac Show is kaput, with Bernie blowing up to Jerry Lewis size with his treatment for his dread disease.
Bernie's sick?  And not just from spitting on Poitier by working with Kutcher?

We always hit the Clarkes on Lincoln right next to the Biograph.

For deli in Lincoln Park, the best was always Frances' on Clark between Deming and Wrightwood.  Good pancakes, too.  Not sure if it's still open.  Anyone?

Hey, they gave Roman Polanski an Oscar, and he's been overseas for years.

When hadicapping Oscar wins, Rule #1 is that Holocaust stories trump everything.

Hollywood hates Scorsese.  They hate that he goes overseas to film a lot of his flics.  I was told on the night of this year's oscars by a retired assistant studio head that they were never going to give Martin his due because they just don't like him.

Raging Bull
Goodfellas
Taxi Driver
The Aviator

There ya go.

Kevin Costner for "Dances with Cliches"
"Forest Gump (aka Running to Nowhere)" for winning over Shawshank.
James Cameron for "Titanicly Boring" over "Good Will Hunting."

Gimme the apple pancake at Walker Brothers with a Just Picked Omelet (omelet slathered with hot apple slices) over at Mitchell's on Racine.

Then, give me a sesame bagel with belly lox smothered in chive cream cheese from Essa Bagel at 51st and 3rd in NYC.

And the wheat pancakes at any of the Egg Harbor's in the Chicago area are keepers.

From ESPN.com:
QuoteA source close to Green, who is due $16 million in 2005, told ESPN.com that the Dodgers outfielder is happy living in Southern California, where he grew up, and has expressed no desire to leave Los Angeles
No word on being in LA because it's Jewish population is 5 times the size of Chicago's.  I can't blame him if it were true, tho.  I went there to get my wife.  Then there was the earthquake in 1994 and she moved to Chicago.  Maybe I can make Shawn a similar deal?

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Wasn't Green born in Chicago?  I know part of the problem is his refusal to waive his no trade clause because he loves LA.  Would he do so for the Cubs and return to his ex-kindof town?
