Just finished the latest BBC A-version ep, tremendous as always.  Enjoyed a bit of coma-related choas, they'd been getting away with that.  Gene's reaction to the "what are the odds?" line was classic.

Yah mo B there!

Another superb episode by the way. The finale looks like it's going to be mindblowing.

I'm finally caught up, just in time for the finale.

Gene is the balls.

I'm dying to see how everything shakes out tonight.

I missed last Monday's so I watched it Sunday night, then caught the finale last night.  I loved the ending with mustache-demoted-cop saying "You just cost me 50 quid." and the reason why.

Gov is still the balls.  His comment about what he'd like to do to Sam's mother...the line about, "He's not jangling your keys, he really talks like that." And the line at the end was great.

I also liked how the car chase at the beginning ended, with them all getting out of the car and walking towards the "bad guys" only to have them drive away and get in an accident at the end of the street.

I knew he was going to have to make the choice between going home & saving his father. I thought he'd go home, see how history played out, and try to get back.

"Trust the Gene genie."

They let the end of the show just walked away. I'm glad the show is coming back for a second season, but Sam was coming out of the coma. He figured out where that 1973 world came from. He can't change the present through the coma world can he? It might have been better if his father had gotten away another way and he had to find him to get out of the coma. Still it's an outstanding show.

I believe filming is wrapping up this month and the second season starts in the UK early next year.

BTW, there is an American version of the show coming out next year too.

Can't imagine it being anywhere nearly as good.

It'll be great.  Tim Conway is playing Sam Tyler.

Funny...I was thinking John Simm would make a great Dorf.

How can it not be?  Edmund Butt is doing the music.  His name is butt!

Actually, if David Kelley is involved, it has a shot. He's great at odd shows, like Picket Fences.

US versions never are. They always muck it up. But with Tim Conway and Ed Butt on board this one sounds like a winner.

This pisses me off. I guess I'd watch, but I'd feel dirty. Maybe not. You guys like both Offices...so I guess it could work.

Bah. I just hope season 2 of the UK version makes it back to BBCA soon and I can keep up with that one.

Someone on imdb says they'll probably make 20 fucking episodes of the show for season one and it will make for 14 mediocre to boring shows and 5 or 6 good ones. Sad.
