So, anyway, in the absence of any actually good ideas for what to do with my annual Week Away From The Trouble And StrifeTM, and having once more read through the "breakfast" thread from beginning to end, I'm thinking about coming to Chicago again.  The Cubs are in town and playing the Tards and Pissburgh from the 27th July until the 2nd August so I thought I'd probably look to fly in on the 27th and back out again on the 4th, something like that.

I know it's a long way off for those of you that don't have kids and thus don't have your schedule planned until the middle of 2014 like me, but are any of you likely to be around then?  To be honest, I'll be quite happy just to bodge about town on my own, but if any of you (even Yetti) are available for beer/Kumas/hand job exchange, so much the better.

I promise not to bare my arse to any bartenders this time.*

*I promise nothing of the sort, actually.

I should be around.  Looking forward to it!  In fact, perhaps given the relative dearth of demand for Cubs tickets this year we should look to make a Desipiot outing of some sort coincide with that weekend?  Take over the LF corner of the Bleachers, perhaps, or sit silently at Brixen Ivy?

For Sunday, 7/29, we can buy a block of 20 terrace reserved seats for $47/pop.

Rooftops might be only a little more if we wait it out.

Amazing.  20 seats, in a block, for a Sunday game against the Tards, for less than $50 a pop.  Looks like even the most optimistic Cubs' fan has accepted that they're going to be all kinds of shitty this year.

We could get upper deck reserved for $29/pop, but those seats suck.

But we won't be able to see some of the field which is usually a good thing when you're talking about the Cubs.

I'm surprised that Tonker wants to come back to a country that has me as a citizen.

Meh, if you can put up with the racists, the hilljacks, the nutjobs, and the hippies, America's pretty good.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

If it wasn't for all the Americans, America would be pretty great.

To be perfectly honest, Tonk, I think this is becoming unhealthy.

Yeah.  It's totally unhealthy to take advantage of the available opportunity to travel internationally to a world class city in the prime weather season in said city.

Fuck knows, if I had the income and the Wife would let me go, I'd do that.  Never had the chance to travel outside of the North America other than Hawaii.

Yes... Clearly I was saying the very act of going on vacation at all is unhealthy. You're a regular fucking mindreader, Chuck.

Apex vs. Archer may get more hype and TDubbs vs. Fork may have more history, but for pure contentiousness, I'll take Thrill vs. Chuck in this dark corner.
