Bump for actually being in a Web Gem/Top Play segment on ESPN/MLB Network.  I can't remember the last Cub I've seen in a Top Plays segment.  Also, since coming over, .304 .364 .456 .819 112 isn't too shabby.  .456 SLG is way above his career average.  I know he's no Chay Sutley, but DeWitt's not hatable yet.

Just curious--does anybody here besides IAN actually still watch ESPN, for anything other than live sporting events?

I do as I'm getting ready for work. That's about it. And I'm pretty sure I've seen Byrd in there quite a bit this year, Top Plays that is.

MLB, NFL, NHL and Big Ten Networks as well as the Golf Channel mean that I'm free of Chris Berman and Tony Kuntheiser forever. I do watch an assload of college football/basketball on there though.

It's easier if I don't have to flip back and forth. It's all about convenience as opposed to actually liking it.

Don't you have to flip somewhere every time Chris Berman or NASCAR come on? They treat NASCAR like it's an actual sport. THose cars aren't even going that fast. Have you seen open-wheel racing? It sucks just as bad only way faster.

I don't think I've heard Berman on SportsCenter in a while. I can deal with NASCAR. I have the same sentiment as you as far as it's classification as a "Sport", but it's not unbearable for me. Now, also remind yourself that I'm a hilljack so it's supposed to be in my blood or something.

I was out drinking that night.  I came home and (PANK will love this) turned on SportsCenter to see the lead story was DAY LEARNHEART was dead.  I hung my 3 flag at half boner.
