OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Oh. Holy. Shit.

Verified. Not a parody. Resist the urge to give up before at least one chorus.

Christ on a bike.  I'm flabbergasted.  I was convinced this was a wind-up, but this is from the bloke's website :

QuoteI am in fact a Reformed Homosexual and I'm trying to let people know that there is an escape from being Gay. By letting people know that "God hates a Fag" I am doing Gods work, I'm preaching.

When I was in highschool I kept having feelings for the boys I was in school with. Often I would let these feelings take over. I got into lots of trouble when I was Gay.

Oh, boy.  That sounds healthy.  I'm sure he's not repressing anything, and certainly won't snap one of these days and slaughter a number of innocent bystanders before blowing the top of his own head off.

A quick video showing the relative size of various objects in the galaxy.

Very well done, and it really puts things in perspective.

And playing on the turf on Sunday...

That last TD against Duke is just insane.  I know nothing about football, but even I can tell that's absolutely outrageous.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Schaefer's. Or Dubuque Star. Man, you had to be one poor-ass, thirsty college dude to drink that piss water. So of course, I drank a lot of it. Because I was poor. And thirsty. And shiftless.

Twenty-plus years later, I've conquered one of those three hurdles, bully for me!

You're not thirsty any more?

Big Fan of Woodford Reserve, although I'm not as big a bourbon lover as I'm a Scotch lover. My Scotch of choice is Glenlivet, but Lagavulin is excellent.

If you like Glenlivet, TJ, you might also enjoy Highland Park.  Even their 12-year-old is excellent.

I've got a rather splendid Glenfiddich 21 year old in the drinks cabinet as we speak, as well as a bottle of Glenlivet, a Glenmorangie 12 and a bottle from a wee East Coast distillery called Clynelish.  You can taste the sea.

Aw, man, this makes me want to go home.  Unfortunately we're at the outlaws (in Germany) this Xmas rather than with my folks in Scotland.

Getting back to beer, by the way - Goose Island was probably the best beer I drank in Chicago when I was there.  I seem to remember their "Ryno" was pretty good.

Oh, and if Southern German beer isn't your cup of tea (so to speak), Jever from Friesland is magnificent.  Really dry and positively heaving with hops.  Yum.

Your favorite.

In the States: St. Pauli Girl: Special Dark

Here in Germany: Lowenbrau: Triumphator (That's 7.8% alcohol, MADD)

Best beer to drink prior to fat chick lovin: Schlitz.

For my money, Rock, Loewenbraeu is only the third best brewery in Munich, behind Paulaner and (best of all) Augustiner.  Ayinger (from just outside Munich) is also excellent.  You ask any beer nut in Muenchen what they drink, though, and they'll all say Augustiner.  Their "Edelstoff" puts hair on your chest.

Dutch beer sucks, for the most part.  Belgian beer, though, which is universally available here, is excellent.  Leffe and Grimberger are my favourites.  Blond, Dubbel, Tripel - it's all great, it just depends how pished you want to get.

Someone went out of their way and through the trouble of recording each and every Band of Brothers episode when they all originally aired especially just for me.  I've seen 0 seconds of the series.  I have my work cut out for me.

I treated myself to the DVD box set a couple of years ago.  Two words, SD : Mag Nificent.

Enjoy, mate - and remember, you might think it's good, but until you get to Bastogne, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

I.  F ucking.  Love. This. Site.

SD, thanks a million, great mate - last night I spent a very enjoyable evening catching up on "The Office" whilst I was supposed to be watching my son.

How the hell they get away with putting all that content up for grabs, I have no idea, but I'm going to get whilst the gettin's good.

I once found a website which played the two Nickelback hits (the names of which escape me, fortunately) side by side.  They're the same song - exactly the same song.  Same structure, same chords, same everything.

And Chad whateverhisnameis is easily the ugliest man on the face of the Earth.  Astonishingly ugly.  He ain't got no alibi.

Edit - Found it :  http://www.dailymedication.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=315

The other day, Forkserker had me on "ignore," and now Tonker does?  What did I do to deserve this?

Heh heh, sorry Kerm, that'll teach me to read the thread properly.  At least I found the link, though...

That is pretty sweet.  I don't fancy druming in a Chewy suit, though - that must be hot as hell.

Okay, you bastards, you got me.  I tried to hold out, but ended up... erm... "borrowing" the whole of the first series and have watched the first four episodes.

I actually switched off about two-thirds of the way through the first show, when Charlie is showing off his black friend to Waitress Girl.  It just got too cringeworthy.  I went back, though, and now I'm a little better tuned in to the vibe, I must admit I'm really enjoying it.

I agree that Charlie is a fantastic character, and I get the impression there's not even a great deal of acting going on.  He's a funny, funny guy and I'm pretty sure that a lot of it is improvised.  His reaction (right at the end of the first episode) when Dennis (I think) calls Terrell and his sister "you people" is absolutely priceless.  If you didn't notice it first time round, go back and have another look.

One of my favourite lines, which was perfectly delivered :

Dee : Are you really going to throw away all your convictions for a chance to get laid?

Dennis : I don't really have any convictions.

This made me laugh out loud, too :

Dee : How do you guys live with yourselves?

The boys :  One day at a time.

So there you go, despite my best efforts to look down my nose at American humo(u)r, I can't deny that there's a lot that I really like.  In fact, IASIP makes me want to live in America more than ever.  You boys don't know how good you've got it.

Unbelievable. [pictured not throwing a strike, obviously]
