OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Well, I held out as long as I could.  Here is my 3,816th post.  It will not be as heartwarming and meaningful as some of the others.  It won't be a triumph of the human spirit, nor a salute to a man who, like Cal Ripken, just goes to work everyday, and wastes time on a messageboard.  I don't remember how I stumbled onto Desipio originally, but I think the first thing I read by Andy was a biting review and criticism of WSCR, and it got me hooked.  I used to check Desipio every day at lunch, hoping there was another Daily Dose (back when they were daily) to give me a little entertainment during the day.  Then came the gamecasts and the running commentaries everyday, and finally this fancy messageboard opened up, and it was good.  Many things have happened between now and then, most of them posts by Slaky.  I'm not going to document them, because you can just go back in the archives yourself and read about carlosno1fan and Paul and the tranny porn attack and all that other stuff.

Suffice to say, I like it here.  Despite your lack of support for me, you're a swell bunch, and I think I'd enjoy having a beer with just about any of you, and hopefully I'll get that chance sometime.  You can never have enough people to drink beer with.

So here's to the most incoherent, rambling, piece of shit 1908th post ever.

Mine.

Aw, I was so cute back then.  Anyway, almost a year later, and here I am at post 2020.  There's no meaning in the number, I just had avtars shutoff and blew past 1908 without knowing.  Shit happens.  Since I fired up this ID, I've met quite a few of you in person, and to a man (and the occaissional woman) you're all good shits.  A little descript for my tastes, but to each his own.

And with that, CT II is done.  SUPYAD on the other side, man.

What I love about Michael is how he's a total moron and yet somehow he's the best branch manager in the company and they have to kiss his ass. The economy sucks (not sure if you've been hearing about that. you been hearin about that?) and he's the only one making money for Dunder-Mifflin. He seems to always close his business deals.

I love this show.

That's my favorite part of the show.  Why doesn't Dunder-Mifflin just fire his ridiculous ass?  Because he makes money.  In both the Applebee's episode with Tim Meadows, and the paper convention episode, he closed huge deals despite playing the fool the entire time.  They're clearly trying to cater to Weebs by making it BELIEVABLE that he would keep his job.

Time to get real. How likely is it that a guy who's completely socially inept at all facets of his life be so smooth when it comes to selling paper products? Riddle me that.

He's an idiot savant.

Old Oak tap by me (on chicago, between hoyne and leavitt) have great burgers and incredible beers on tap... awesome in the summer, have a huge outdoor area in front..

Here is their beer menu, it's class.

Hmmm... Bell's Oberon on tap.
I'ts 9 in the morning and I'm drooling.

Breakfast of Champions.

Bell's is fantastic, especially the Oberon. They also have the Dogfish Head 60 minute on tap which I highly recommend. The 90 is evern more powerful. The 120 will kick your ass in the best way possible.

Ole Rasputin is a glorious beer. And at 9%, it's a good time really quickly.

No Bud Light?  Fuck that place.

Don't fret. They have white wine for guys like you there.

See you there this summer then.

Let's bury the hatchet over a BJ.

Bartles and James, of course!

Thank you for your support.

That was the best movie Jack Black has ever been in.

Really?  Because according to Pepsi, he's the new John Belushi.

I thought it was funny.  I really enjoy how easily confused Andy is.

This line was great:

"Meredith, you've had sex with so many men you're starting to look like one.  Boom!  You're roasted!"

Other than that, I thought the episode was pretty terrible.  Can't the writers ever have anything go wrong with Jim and Pam, or does it always have to look like Jim's about to be in the doghouse and then suddenly Pam loves whatever he did?  It's called tension, fucknuckles!  You were awesome at it for three years.

Yeah, I wish they were more like Ross and Rachel, too.  I want a series of break-ups and then them getting back together in a variety of awesome ways.  I'd like more "very special" Office episodes.  That would be stupendous.

Weebs, you're a fucking retard.  The tension was b/c they weren't together.  Now, they are.  Not every relationship is like the one you have with your Xbox where one day you hate it b/c you lost a game on Duty of Warship 7, but then the next day you love it b/c you killed a cyborg on Steamboat of Death 19.

THI.

Me too.

I fully agree with these agreements.

A little TOO realistic for my tastes.

dress code?

Anyone ever bowl above a hardware store?

I like anything that makes my life easier, so I vote for Lincoln Square Lanes.

In that case, I vote for Wheaton Bowl.

I once lived in an apartment that was directly above a bowling alley and directly below another bowling alley.

Did you know bees and dogs can smell fear?

What about dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you?

What can they smell?

I hope Ricketts opens his wallet and gets us a male and female zebra that live in the bleachers.

Fuck that. Get us a zorse.

""It soon became apparent that zorses are not the most easiest of the equine family to get along with." -- Trainer Pat Parelli, on working with zorses."

I just can't believe you gave me an opening to talk about zorses so soon. I found that shit this morning. I have been dying to discuss the endless possibilities of zorses.

Also awesome:

A baby is a Zony.

Mix a zebra and a donkey? Zonkey.

A Zetland Zony? You better believe it, Buster Brown.

Quotehe rarer reverse pairing is sometimes called a hebra

As a native of South Carolina, I don't want any hebra's in my gummint.

What are you gonna do?

Secede? And start your own Union in your treehouse, and get all your little friends to come?

I'd like to see you try that!

Goulet: Are you from the casino?

Bart: I'm from a casino.

Goulet: Eh, good enough. Let's go.

Germs: Freemasons run the country!

We can't all release our sexual tensions by playing the guitar.  Some of us gotta see some zebra secks.

I just need to know if Ricketts is the RIGHT owner.

Apparently he is.  But I won't hold that against him.

QuotePersonally, I'm happy if the Ricketts group is the new owner. Tom Ricketts is from Chicago and is a Cubs fan, and once lived over one of the bars near the ballpark. If he opens up his wallet -- and I expect he would -- I think we'll all be very happy with the results.

Tom Ricketts GETS IT. Unless he doesn't open up his wallet. Or if he uses a money clip. Then we'll have to wait and see.

I like that "open up his wallet" line.  I mean, unless this guy plans on trading 2/3rds of the team prior to spring training, the Trib has already opened his wallet for him.  I'm certainly not expecting a sudden surge in payroll from the current numbers.

All in all it was a pretty good inauguration day. I'm pretty sure my favorite part was when Obama started talking and Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd keeled over. CHANGE, BITCH!

As the new President paid homage to those who came before him and recognized the seemingly insurmountable obstacle on which he spoke from the summit, he pointed to a much larger, daunting mountain on the horizon, which we as a people will have to climb together and blah, blah, blah. But somebody said, "No, Mr. President, that's just Teddy Kennedy lying on the floor. He's had another seizure or something." Somehow, paramedics hauled his ass out of there everybody finished their lunch.

Teddy's fine.  Evidentally, somebody walked up to him and said "Senator Kennedy, the bar won't be open for another 25 minutes" and he keeled over.  They got a couple of liters of gin into him, and now he's stable.

Oh, my. You bet your sweet, tasty little ass I'm stealing that.

So, what was the story with Sen. Byrd then?

What am I, a doctor?
