Awesome at the time, but I don't think it holds up well at all.

You'd never make it with the conservative insurgency, pal.

I'm sure Kermit is enjoying the U.S.'s win a little more than the rest of you patriotic folk.

Quote"Me, guarantee something?" he said. "That would never happen. No, not at all. I never guarantee anything I have no input in whatsoever. I just bet peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches on the game. That's all I did."

Dempster, of course, guaranteed a World Series title for the Cubs in 2008.

Just how many bets did Dempster make?

"I don't know," he said. "That's a lot of peanut butter. Trying to figure out who wants crunchy and who wants smooth, that's going to be the tough part."

Luckily, funny doesn't need spring training.

Has anybody ever been more unfunny at trying to be funny than Dempster?

Who writes his stuff, Kaseberg?

The hope for a fatal crash including Millar and  Dempster in a clown car with Ronnie Woo-Woo and his Fabulous Red Bicycle has suddenly rejuvanted my spirits regarding this year's Cubs team.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

I know it's fun and games to hate Dempster but if he gets hurt, you really will not want to watch this team.

This is a conundrum.  I get pulled back in due to that unfunny asshat's demise, only to see a team with Garbanzo Beans, a reverted Randy Wells, and Carlos Silva manning the back-end of the rotation.  Fuck.

At least Angel Guzman will have THREE angels on his shoulder. Of course two of them will be trying to talk the third into doing a really unfunny Stooges routine.

It's pretty obvious you need to revise that car wreck to include Jim Hendry for being the lead architect of this whole thing.
