Title: NFL Draft
Post by: Saul Goodman on April 26, 2012, 09:21:52 PM
I never heard of this guy therefore it's the worst pick of all time! Move over Ryan Leaf!

Yeah. I was kind of shocked, but the sad part about it is fans are pissed because the Bears drafted a guy they hadn't heard of instead of one of the guys they heard about for the first time two weeks ago. Phil's earned the benefit of the doubt. If this guys the pure speed rusher they think he is and he can take advantage of the Peppers' double teams on third down, he's worth it. The only knock I've seen on him so far is that he's mostly a speed rusher and doesn't have as much power. They can bulk him up, though. Athleticism is harder to acquire.

MY ANALYSIS: Let's see how this plays out.

Emstink is wonderful. I scouted this guy hard (||) in the highlights they showed after he was picked. He looks legit. Sign him up. Bear down. Fuck you.

He claims to have only suffered 2 concussions in his life, and that the reports that he was concussion prone came from teams hoping to make him slip down the draft board. That stuff happens. It's the same reason people called Kendall Wright of all people fat and why the Morris Claiborne Wonderlic score was leaked. Mike Mayock really likes this guy so I choose to stand with Mike.

Also, he was shitty at bench pressing at the combine which means he is the opposite of Mike Mamula. My only main concern with the Seamuck O'Lellin pick is his Irish heritage. He could be the white Troy O'Leary.

Alshon Jeffery will make you and your meathead brother forget all about Dane Sanzenbelter. Marshall, Bennett and Jeffery L to R in 2012. #emstinkiswonderful #lovestinkistoo #johnnyknoxisdead #runforestrun

I didn't watch too much of the draft coverage, but from what I saw, Bill Polian is terrible.  It's like no one, including Bill, knows when he's finished speaking.  He sounds like he's winding down with whatever he's blathering about, and the camera starts to pan over and he just keeps going so the camera jerks back (||) to keep him centered.

Solution: when Bill finishes his thought, he should simply say "end communication" and turn his back to the camera.

Just in case you are wondering.  Emstink continued the proud bears tradition of drafting a honkeyfied safety.

Somehow this entire draft process made me lose even more faith in Bears fans and the media that covers the team. Jesus Christ, after I read how God knows how many "free agency gives Bears flexibility in draft" and "Emery has earned the benefit of the doubt" articles right before the draft it all goes out the window the second he drafts a guy that meatballs had never heard of. Then he has the gall to draft a wide receiver with first round talent midway through the second round even though the guy gained weight last year because his team sucked ass and his alcoholic quarterback got suspended for the 6th fucking time.

I hate you people.

Not you people, but you people. You know?

Maybe you people, too.

CT mentioned this somewhere but the guy has continued to update it. You can imagine how it gets when you get to the Jaguars' selection of a punter in the 3rd round.

If Emstink is good enough for Pex, then that's good enough for me. But seriously, what. the. fuck. is "dynamic suddenness?"

It's similar to explosive instantaneousness.
