OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Are there any unofficial road watch locations for tonight's game? I mean, besides Joe's....I know Bottom Lounge is usually Hawks friendly, and Whirlaway.

CT's having people over I'm assuming.

That's a bold assertation.

Speaking of that, and willingly opening myself to mockery, a few of us are going to try to find seats at the BWWs by my house, if you're not doing anything.

Which BWW is that?  Some folks from work are heading to one around here in Northbrook.

Antti Niemi is a busy guy.

Hey, THERE'S a directly-overhead camera!

Oddly enough, even the "overhead" shots from the UC were not overhead.  They weren't nearly as bad as the Philly "overhead" camera, but if a flippin camera exists right on the goal line, shouldn't the goal deciding replays come from that camera?  Also acceptable would be a bunch of laser beams that come out of the far back of the goal line that can decide if it crossed.

Can we talk about how an "overhead" camera that is used for official reviews would have the goal line hidden under the crossbar?  I don't buy the reviewed goal as being good, and shame on the NHL for not taking a geometry lesson.

Can't you at least make the letters fall between the lines so they can pass as plastic letters actually on the board?

You guys don't get to see them nearly as much as I do living in Central Illinois. There was a game in '04 where they looked awful against the A's for eight innings but thanks to an error on a relatively easy play by Oakland they were able to score three in the ninth and won. They then went something like 26-10 after that game... The lesson is to never count those bastards out. I would rather take the short-term hit and have the Brewers win the game tonight and tomorrow just because I have seen the Cardinals get one lucky bounce or one lucky play and turn it into a huge winning streak...

He sucks.  I'm ready to bail on him for the rest of the year...is there anyone in the minors that we can call up to take some starts?  Can we "platoon" him with a pitcher who is strong in the second half of the season?  Can we trade him to Miluwakee to "replace" ben sheets?

Park 10 blocks or so west of the field.  I live on Damen, and we are far enough away to avoid the cubs parking zone.  Its a 1.25 mile walk or a quick ride on the addison bus away from the stadium.

How the heck does a studio apartment have windows on the east and west sides?

Oh, and enjoy that bathroom with "a lot of character."  That's what i say about my bathroom after i take a 10lb dump and the smell is wafting into the hallway.

You've probably already viewed this, but here's Braves AA manager Phil Wellman getting ejected from a ballgame in a rather entertaining/animated fashion.

That commando crawl and grenade toss was the funniest shit i've seen in a long time.
