I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

Russ Ortiz is currently penciled in for a Thursday start against the Cubs.
The veteran had his turn in the rotation skipped last week, but did work out of the bullpen. Considering his 5.21 ERA and 1.79 WHIP, owners in NL-only leagues should stay away.

I just thought it was strange when they installed that sign in the Cardinals' bullpen that says  364 0 day(s) since the last worker fatality.
