OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Finally, I positive the Marmot.  Just keep him out of the tub.

He was the tits and the tops last night...will he be able to do this type of thing consistently, or is he our new Juan Cruz Andy Pratt?

Traded (and vomited).

I once led the world (and probably still do) in Juan Cruz splooge. But I don't even think at his 2001 best that he showed the command of all his pitches that teh Marmot is displaying right now. Nor has he for any stretch since departing. But I remember Juan Cruz too well to ever carry around a stiff one of that magnitude again. But I positive the Marmot in a slightly un-masculine way. Secretly. Discreetly. Tastefully. So not to cause alarm.

There are a lot games left. If the bullpen keeps this up... I know, I know... the Cubs will stay in it to the very end. Once they get to .500 on June 30 in a win over Milwaukee, we'll get serious. Until then we're just jerking off. But hell, the last two years we couldn't even play with ourselves. So there's that.

Well, Looper, Edmonds and Eckstein all just went on the DL.

That can't hurt.

And despite all that, here are the Cardinals; not fucked, not imploding. However do they do it?

On a completely unrelated note, those orange and black hats the Orioles wear with the cursive "O's" on them, are fucking ghey.

The Cards should call up that Dan Haren kid from their minor league system to help their pitching.

The Twins aren't very good this year. I haven't watched enough of them to know why but something isn't working.

Intrepid Reader: Lou

"What the hell do ya think isn't working!"

I don't know. I haven't been watching their damn games. Saw them pwn the Sox a couple times but hell, even the Pirates can do that.

I love this thread.

Oh and Sammy hit a grand slam against the Reds last night. I missed it because I was outside barbecuing pork chops. But that game was on here and the Reds announcers were very complimentary of Sammy even prior to the slam. They showed clips of his 500th at GAB and with 599 coming last night and another dose or two of Reds pitching on tap it's looking like 600 will happen in that dump too. Nice. Because Reds fans hate Sammy. Yay.

How long until Scott Spezio moves into the Tards' starting rotation? Maybe they're waiting until they implode first. I wonder when that will be? Maybe after they start losing by two touchdowns. Last night they were right in it til the end. A touchdown, a 2pt conversion and a field goal ties that game. With Bulger, Bruce and Jackson, they're never really out of a game. So that's gotta make them feel better.

I love this thread.

I picked him up for my fantasy team when Ortiz got put on the DL...

Good work, BC.

Is that sarcastic, or have you embraced the positive?

I'm just happy for the guy.

Yeah, he needed a break in the worst way. And by break I mean gastroplasty.

Now you tell me.  I just got done polishing Yovani Gallardo's f@#$ing Hall of Fame plaque!  Great, now I'll toss it in the corner over there with the ones I made up for Drew Hall and Ted Power Tim Lincecum and Homer Bailey.

Bronzed.

I don't get it.  Why would you already equate Lincecum and Bailey with those two guys?

What the f@#$ is the matter with you?

Nothing, of course.  I didn't understand your post.

The point is that those two haven't exactly set the world on fire since their callup though some would have us believe they're can't miss prospects. Maybe they are but if Gallardo performs as they have to start out, we've got little to worry about in the near term.

That make sense? You can argue of course and tell me those two are the best things since sliced bread and I'd respond by saying, "meh."

Bump.

Royals 15, Deadbirds 6 through five in the rubber game. At least RoyHobbs' boys aren't imploding or anything. I'd hate to see what that would look like. No I wouldn't.
