Would it be too much to ask for a wide receiver who is taller than 5'2" and is actually strong enough to go up and battle for a ball?
OK A-holes. It's fixed. Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them. I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

OK, here's a great critic of Cutler:

You know what? Fuck him with his little motorcycle and his 2002 Duke team which lost in the regional semis in no small part due to his ability to come up short in a big game!

What people keep missing is that he was held out by the coaches. Whether he tore his MCL or not, he had no say in coming back in. There is no argument after that.
I just read David Haugh getting his Chuck hat on criticizing Lovie for the end around on 3rd and 3.
NO ONE IN THIS CITY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT SPORTS.
For a while in the fourth quarter I was having the time of my life - even though I knew they were fucked and Caleb was going to cough it up eventually. But God damn they fought hard (||). I wanted my enduring memory of this game to be the unbelieveable noise and energy in the stadium as the Bears fought and clawed their way back in. I've never experienced anything close to that. When I left, I felt like I had been a part of sports history (||) and that I would just enjoy the memories from a season that gave me more than I ever dreamed it could.
And then I got home and started reading. And hearing. And the anger took over. Right now, this hurts worse than that Super Bowl Sunday did. At least I was drunk as piss that day.
All of that. It's the what ifs that are bothering me now.
What if Cutler had hit Hester on that corner route in the first series?
What if Urlacher had taken that pick to the house? (That tackle by Rodgers was the play of the game)
What if Hanie had gotten #2 reps for the last few months after Collins shit himself in Carolina?
What if Hanie hadn't thrown that pick right into the ample gut of Raji?
Fuck fuck fuck.
On the bright side, I had to watch the game on delay on DVR so I was not exposed to all the Twitter horseplop during the game.
That's the what if that bothers me the most. The whole game changes if that is a complete pass.
That wasn't on Jay. Hester stopped running the route. Had he kept running, he I'm pretty sure he would have run under that.
I'm most upset at the Todd Colins turdfest. I just don't understand how Hanie can go into training camp as the #2 QB and lose that spot due to injury--Collins' performance against the Panthers should have been the last time he ever took an NFL snap. Instead, his next snap was in the NFC Championship Game. This fact blinds me with rage.

Maybe I missed it while I was stuffing my face at halftime, but it didn't seem like there was much talk about cutler being hurt before he came out. I saw him heading to the locker room with a few seconds left in the half, but hadn't the packers started to take a knee already at that point? Nobody saw him get hurt, nobody talked about him getting hurt, the stories about him fighting with the trainers didn't come out until well after the game, and lovie didn't mention that either that I heard. So he's got a legit injury and probably shouldn't have been out there, but it was a perfect storm of missing information and bad reporting that caused everyone to jump to the worst conclusion.

Well, I can already tell how my offseason is going to go.
You should spend all of your time getting into Twitter wars with all of the NFL players giving Cutler crap.QuoteIf he was my teammate I would be looking at him sideways. -Asante SamuelQuote
Hey I think the urban meyer rule is effect right now... When the going gets tough........QUIT.. -Maurice Jones-DrewQuoteIf my knee was hurt or acl/mcl/pcl sprain, I would not be standing up on the sideline. -Kirk MorrisonQuoteIts hard to know, but it def looked like it. RT @LSUFAN869: @LanceMoore16 Cutler gave up wouldn't you say? -Lance MooreQuoteIf I'm on chicago team jay cutler has to wait till me and the team shower get dressed and leave before he comes in the locker room! #FACT -Darnell Dockett
Imagine that. NFL players are morons. The Bears players all stand by him. As usual.

In the latest edition of media "OH MY GOD! THE PACKERS ARE FREAKING AWESOME" commentary... Notice how the AP compares the Packers with the Bears in the first game story from this afternoon...
"Although it got closer at the end, this was the result many projected the first division winner with a losing record would sustain, making it difficult to measure how good the Bears are. The NFL will find out next week against the Packers, who have beaten third-seeded Philadelphia and top-seeded Atlanta on the road this month. But to compare these Bears with the "Super Bowl Shuffle" bunch that won Chicago's only Super Bowl 25 years ago is a stretch."
Guh.
First of all, that first sentence is a partial-birth abortion. How does a team "sustain" a result? I believe he means "attain" but his unimaginative strawman two sentences later indicate that this writer's simply a tardface so maybe "sustain" has meaning in his dangerous mind.
Good god the AP's become more obsolete than the drop-kick.

I had two major issues with the fourth quarter, namely Martz's decision to get cutesy with a 28-3 lead and first down near midfield with that idiotic pass/INT from Forte out of the wildcat. Someone tell Martz to please not fucking do that again.
Well, it obviously didn't work for shit, but I don't think it's a 100% awful idea do do a few wacky
things to set up future plays.
Unrelated, but anyone bitching about the yards given up late in the game need to give it up and
get a new shtick. That's what the Bears do. It's their philosophy.
I do so love it when the Bears all of a sudden switch it up and start playing aggressive pass coverage
and knock the qb/receiver timing to hell.
My bitch isn't with Martz for giving Dom Capers another look to think about. I have the same beef Martz had with Forte, which is that every HB option play since Jr. High comes with the stipulation that if your first read isn't wide fucking open you don't throw it. And yeah, I thought it was awesome how the Bears played on third down early in the game when Hasselbeck would look for Williams short. Tillman was not interested in allowing that.

That guy's doing a bit, right? This has to be a "meatball fan" parody.
I love Fro so much:QuoteAll the Bears had to do was play like they did the first three quarters. Then all of a sudden, they start to look like the defense we saw most of the regular season. Big plays, lots of yards and quick touchdowns. The defense was once again fortunate as time ran out on the Seahawks to complete their comeback.
Why didn't they just play the same way in the 4th quarter that they did in the first 3? God, it's so simple!
