OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Right after the Cubs figure out how to retire Bill Hall?

I must be really drunk, because I swear I see PPE actually giving Dusty credit for doing something good for the team.

Nah, winning just feels like drunkeness these days.

Derrek looks like a triple crown contender except that the two guys batting ahead of him (Neifi and Corey) ain't getting on base.  It's hurting his RBI total.

Neifi is the ultimate streak hitter.  It's all or nothing for him.

Corey ... if he can't hit batting in front of DLee, I shudder to think what will happen when he's batting 8th.

Maybe Z can protect him.

At the game, I was praying for the fifth at bat.  When the ball went to the gap, I was hoping he was busting ass for the cycle.  He jogged in for a double, standing at second before the ball got to the cut-off man.  Any comentary as to whether he had a chance for the cycle?  Couldn't tell live.

He could have had it if he had wanted it.

He's such a freakin stud that hitting for the cycle with a 10+ run lead was beneath him.

Damn it, when does this start up again?

I was the wrong age for the original series, which of course meant that I loved it.  Haven't watched it since.

I hear the new season starts off very ... darkly ... which rocks!  How could it not?  It's the most depressing potentially compelling storyline you could conjure up.

Rumor has it that it's renewed for a second season.

Huzzah!

I'm amazed that he's not getting the Barry Bonds treatment in this lineup.

The "I can't stop now, I have to finish" line is absolute gold...

When that's been brought up in interviews, Wood says he likes refer to it as his first relief appearance.

Apparently suing and being sued over one's blog is a sign you're really reaching people.

I'm almost afraid to post this, given all the mysterious enemies Will is always darkly alluding to, but I'm always surprised when people link to him and fail to note that he is a comically arrogant ass (although I do appreciate the subject heading, assuming that it's sarcastic, which I imagine is a pretty safe assumption).  I have NEVER had such a strong, negative reaction to someone based only on their writing before.  I totally agree with his politics, so that's not the issue, although I shudder to imagine how irritating someone who doesn't share his politics must find him ...

Yeah, what was up with that?  He made it sound like he was being stalked or something.

Maybe it was all in his head, just like the Cubs' involvement in this trade.

(work your magic, Hendry!)

Pedro may be temperamental, but I'd bet that Theo & co. *can* be arrogant.

Or at least overly smug.  From time to time.

If Dr. Jayson Starke is correct and Pedro does have a 90% torn labrum, woud he have been pitching through that at the end of last season?  And everyone pinpoints the original injury as having occurred what, 3 years ago?  I think Pedro will do fine at Shea next year, but I'd be scared of those last couple years.
