How bad is Soriano's leg?

Here's hoping for amputation and the ensuing insurance settlement / contract cancellation.

Sounds like Chuck will need to get his old Magglio Ordonez peg leg photoshop out of mothballs soon.

These injuries are going to force them to give guys like Colvin at bats, which is what they should be doing anyway.

Colvin will get all the at bats he can handle when he's a Newark Bear.

This is all sorts of awesome.

Darwin Barney - "He makes up for his power and patience deficits by running out pop flies and reliably converting into outs the ground balls hit right at him. You can't teach that."

Juan Pierre - "If Pierre has a hole in his game, beyond his glove, arm, patience and power, it's that he wants it so, so badly. When he manages to get on base, his eagerness to help the team win results in failed steals and pickoffs aplenty. What courage! "

Gutsy and gritty are just words used by guys who don't want to say that the players they're describing aren't really that great, but it's cute that they try so hard.

Seeing the bleacherites give Campana a nice hand after he dove for a ball that bounced past him on Monday was a illustration of how much we appreciate guts and grit up here in the big city, son.

Gutsy and gritty are just words used by guys who don't want to say that the players they're describing aren't to describe yet another shitty player from LSU who isn't really that great, but it's cute that they try so hard.

I don't know why, but I found this photo to be absolutely great...

and sad.

This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

DPD, but if that photo is somewhat distasteful, just look to America's Greatest President (TM)...

I don't know about that.  At the time we thought that it couldn't get any worse.  After 2001-2009 Tricky Dick looked not half bad.
