OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

A minor quibble, but I thought KB deserved the World Series MVP.

Agreed on both counts (it's a minor quibble and he did deserve MVP in my eyes.)

Him scoring from first yesterday was a thing of absolute beauty.

Yes it was.

He is just so good at most everything. I knew we were getting a stud with an advanced hitting approach, but I didn't think we'd be getting such a good baseball IQ with him. He's a great all around baseball player.

That defense tho. I'm not giving up on Heyward. There's too much talent.

All is forgiven if his speech rallied them to victory. Whatever. Albatross contracts are easy to bear when you won the fucking ring. Jon Lester's probably going to look like San Fran Barry Zito by the time his deal is done and he'll still be a hero.

He'll fix his swing this offseason and be fine next year. I'm at least 70% confident about that.

He should just watch a bunch of film of young Griffey, Jr. Mimic that. Easy, right?

I don't blame Chapman for running out of gas but now that they came out victorious anyway I'm really fucking glad he's not the guy that's going to be in the photo we see for decades to come

I just keep crying today.

I work with some Indians fans. I saw one this morning and I just hugged him. I didn't know what to say.

Everyone at work wants to talk to me today, but I'm not sure I'm capable. I should want to talk about this over and over but I'm still a wreck.

Thanks for being a part of all this for so long.

I don't have many words to describe how I feel. I think it's strange because I actually believed it would happen. It's not a fluke. It's not like a guarantee that they would win, but I'm not surprised they did. I think I'm satisfied...and euphoric.

Pen said it well...thanks everyone for being a part of this. This has been a fun ride, and it's really just starting to get much better.

I good with him not playing in the outfield.  Especially against whatever a Josh Tomlin is.

My strategy would be to start Heyward, and then if he happens to come to the plate in a key situation with runners on in the early innings, pinch hit Schwarber before Francona would be inclined to use Miller (or make him burn Miller early), then you could replace Schwarber with Soler on defense for the middle innings, and then once Soler took his 5th or 6th inning AB you could put in Almora to finish it out on defense.

I like the strategy of scoring 10 runs in the 1st inning and just cruising from there with Travis Wood as a defensive replacement.

I mean, I laughed at this...then realized it's a legitimate strategy and probably could happen at some point...then laughed at how good the Cubs are that a pitcher can adequately play the outfield if needed.

Personally, I think the Cubs got more than they were wishing for when they added him to the World Series roster--he had great AB's in an AL park that helped the Cubs split those two games. That's enormous...

If the doctors say his rehab is complete and he can play the field, then so be it. But that also likely means that someone's taking a seat--Zobrist (yeah right), Baez (yeah right), Bryant (yeah right) or Heyward (eehhh).

It comes down to Heyward vs. Schwarber. I guess the best thing, if he can play OF, is start him in LF and take him out later in the game if the Cubs have a lead and replace him with Heyward (Zobrist to LF, Heyward to RF).

I just don't want him to be rushed back and risk some freak injury causing runs to score and further push back his readiness for next season. But then again can't you say that about every player?

This is a good problem to have.

I like the Cubs. And I like baseball. They should win many games in the regular season, before kicking us in the nuts in October.

Four months until pitchers and catchers report.

Are you like this in real life or is this a thing you do for our entertainment? Choose your answer carefully...it depends on if I continue enjoying your existence.

Glad things went much better for the Jake-Willson battery this time around, and his throbbing, pulsing armcock claimed yet another victim.

Why do teams still take leads? The Cubs have to lead the league in pickoffs. I like that the catchers have the freedom to just launch laser beams at baserunners. It seems like yet another way the Cubs have found a way to get free outs. I love this organization so much, and it's in large part due to the players being so goddamn good and likeable but also because this version of the Cubs organization is in such stark contrast to the one from my many years loathing them before Theo and Jed took over.

And please don't be Willson's fault.
