OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I could begin and end this thread with Terry cocksucking Adams, who I saw pitch for Indianapolis Monday night. He gave up one run in two innings but stranded two in both frames. Every ball hit off of him was a friggin' screamer someplace and he missed giving up a 3-run JimmyJohnJack by about an inch on a 15 foot wall in LC.

He's much, much, much bigger than he was when he was tormenting the hell out of us but he's every bit as shitty.

Somehow he draws a paycheck from someone to do whatever the hell it is he's doing.

Fuck him in the eye with his gay dad's dick. I wanted to heckle him so bad it hurt. But I was with my new girlfriend and I kind of want her to keep going to games with me.

Terry Adams! What a douchebag.

Sorry, I was busy making myself matter...

Well, you haven't shown up in my history book yet, so keep trying.

Let's see if Zinn writes another one. I'll be in that.

Give me just a little blurb in Variety and I'll be as happy as a dog with two Peters. That's the epitome of mattering I'm told.

Anybody else catch this guy's performance on the tube this afternoon? Very Farnsworthian. Many impressive fastballs set up a breaking ball he couldn't locate. In the end he gave up a run that tied the game. The defense wasn't his friend but he managed to fan three on mostly heaters that move all over the place. If he learns to throw that breaker within spitting distance of the strikezone he'll be filthy. Til then he'll be in Iowa dry shaving his...you know.

you have them both in the same lineup...

2. Walker
3. Lee

5. Murton
6. Jones/Preston

will you stop saying that! that's not funny!

I'm not trying to be funny. That would be a better option for 4th OF than John Mabry's dead ass. He could platoon with Jock or play all three OF positions. And he wants to be a Cub. He'd be insurance in case Murton ends up sucking ass or is unable to handle the brutal Chicago summer heat. The humidity can be a bit much, you know.

1. Pierre
2. Neifi!
3. Lee
4. Aramis
5. Jacque
6. Preston
7. Ron Ce
8. Hank

From SBJ in today's trib:

"The Cubs should consider platooning Jones against left-handers, as they should have done with Patterson last season before he completely lost himself at the plate. Because Jones has financial security, he should understand and go with the flow."

I'll say it again: Preston. Wilson. Come ON!!!

Tampa Bay has one of the best offenses in the league.

I don't know if this is true, but some guy over at NSBB who has "sources" (I don't trust any source that isn't a barber) was saying that TB was willing to deal Huff for Wellemeyer and Hill, but the  Cubs only offered Guzman.

If this is true, this makes it that much more frustrating that we are stuck with Jock.
Give him Hill.
Guzman could just as easily be better.
Hendry said he learned from the Dontrelle deal never to give up a lefty with good make up.
Rich Hill isn't Dontrelle Willis!
You could have had Aubrey Friggin Huff.

Yeah, Hill does have good "make-up." Hell, from what I saw of him last year, everything I've heard about him has been "made-up." Like that high-90s fastball, and that Barry Zito-esque curve ball. He's a real f@#$ing winner.

But to hell with all of that... The Bears can clinch the North on Christmas Day in Green Bay. I'll deal with the rest of this shit later.

To be fair, they have hit on some lower round picks...

Briggs, Holdman, Colvin, Alex Brown, Mike Brown, Kruetz, Peanut...not a bad place to start...

Mark Bradley looks promising.

Roosevelt Colvin was good too. Oh and Dez White, well, sucked.
