Yeah, but with an arm like that they did the smart thing and decided to see if he could handle starting first. So far so good. If they'd taken that approach with Snork and just let him be a starter in the minors for a few years maybe he'd have a lot more value. Or maybe he wouldn't. My point is that Jeff Samardzija sucks.

The encouraging thing, is that his control has improved since they drafted him.  If he stays in the strike zone, and he in fact has four pitches that he can use...I could see him being in Chicago next season.

Yeah, his walk rights have typically dropped as he gets higher up in the system, so that's good to see, and he's only walked 2 in 10.1 innings while striking out 20. Steaktits.
