Sully suggests mid-April.
Wittenmeyer suggests DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Just a debridement?
If nothing had to be reattached or sewn together, based upon other major league pitchers' recovery times, I'd think he might be ready to go by Spring Training.

I report (http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2009/11/cubs-lilly-undergoes-shoulder-surgery.html), you decide.
I didn't even read Gordo. I killed enough brain cells this week.

Since I'm in the shoulder surgery club and hence have my own worthless experience to draw upon,
cleaning up the shoulder should be no big deal for being ready for spring training. I had shoulder
decompression (that + chiseling out part of my clavicle to make room) and I was back to my normal
shitty non-major league pitcher self in 4-6 months of physical therapy. I figure someone with elite
doctors, elite rehab, and elite physical ability should be ready to pitch again in about 45 minutes.
The big question is, does he swing the ax left-handed or right-handed?

He'll go with a chansaw during the rehab period.

Two things...
Dexter goes with a needle.
Ted Bundy used to use a sling on a good arm to lure in his prey and lower their psychological defenses... It's going to be a good winter for bloodthirsty lefties...
Perhaps BTK until he's fully recovered?
Brenly was on the Score yesterday and said he figured Ted was going to have some kind of procedure because his fastball was topping out at "83" in the last two starts of the season.
I'm not sure what to believe. That his fastball was only "83" or that anybody was paying attention to the Cubs the last few weeks of the season.
In Bob's defense he kinda has to pay attention since they're paying him to.

Doesn't seem to matter to Santo or Muskrat.

I thought they were paying Santo to check the fax machine and yell "NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"
You got me on Muskrat though.

I wouldn't believe the first part. Theodore's final start against Pissburgh:
(http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfx/hist.php?xml=http://gd2.mlb.com/components/game/mlb/year_2009/month_09/day_30/gid_2009_09_30_pitmlb_chnmlb_1//pbp/pitchers/150404.xml&innings=yyyyyyyyy&s_type=3&sp_type=1&h_size=700&v_size=500)
Bob wasn't paying attention to the pitches Ted threw over 83. That was when he was busy on the phone booking bands for the bash at the House of Blues this January.
