He was just waiting for a year where no one picked him in the Dead Pool.
Well played, Vigoda.
I'm just dismayed that NPR featured Marvin Minsky's death at the top of All Things Considered and left Vigoda to a minor piece just before a local break.

A full block devoted to Vigoda's impact on the modern world is definitely top-of the show-worthy.

NYT (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/27/arts/television/abe-vigoda-actor-of-godfather-fame-dies-at-94.html):
QuoteIn 1963, he had the lead in an Off Broadway production of Shaw's "Mrs. Warren's Profession." Five years later, he was on Broadway in Peter Weiss's "Marat/Sade."

I was honestly thinking about getting in on the Dead Pool this year (though I don't know where to sign up) and I would have listed him for sure. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to hold out for Keith Richards next year.
