Title: Fantasize about baseball with Andy and Kerm
Post by: Andy on March 26, 2010, 11:23:27 AM
Kermit invited all of his friends to play in a fantasy league with him, and apparently he only has four friends.

So now he needs his friendly acquaintances (you guys) to join us or we're going to have the smallest AL-NL Head to Head league.  The draft?  Oh, it's tomorrow.  He loves to give people notice.

Bump.

The league has seven teams, we need at least one more.  Three would be nice.

I'd join in, but can't make a noon Saturday draft.

You'll have to beat up on someone else.

Excellent job, female doges.  We're at nine.  We need one more because Kerm set it up for the ghey head to head weekly matchups.

Somebody...be a hero!

Hell, sign up, skip the draft, let the AutoPick do it and then trade for who you want.  You can blame the AutoPick if your team sucks.  It's what Kenny Williams does.

I figured I'd be your white knight upon a fiery steed, but someone else apparently beat me to it.

11 teams now.

If there's another hero to make it 12, I'll stay. Otherwise I'll bow out gracefully.

I got a good look at Jeff Stevens in action from my tits-out seat in Ho Ho Kam. Maybe I've mentioned, I went to the game yesterday. And I haven't compared pitching charts with Slezak yet, but I'm ready to say that we won't hate this kid this year. I saw Caridad too. He's the reason my seat was tits-out because he brought so much heat I had to take my shirt off. Oh, Lordy!

Getting tits-out seats in Spring Training is like getting a beachside suite during monsoon season.  Or a tsunami.

Still worth it.

It was a good thing to do once. I was with a big group of friends I haven't seen in years and within a 15-yard radius of almost all my favorite baseball players, Lou Piniella, Len, Bob, Pat, Ron, Tom Ricketts, Billy Williams, Larry Rothschild... um...Jeff Baker, Kevin Millar...

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I guess. I'm sorry about all the negative shit I said about the Cubs this month. This team is playoff bound.
