A recap on the scoring (http://www.desipio.com/messageboard/index.php?topic=7626.msg232398#msg232398):

a) Rank your picks 1-10, with points awarded according to rank
b) One bonus point added for each decade under 90
c) One penalty point deducted for each person other than yourself who picked the same person
d) Each correct pick is guaranteed a minimum of 1 point, regardless of deductions
e) 5 point penalty for late picks (picks in after the start of the year, but before the announcement of everyone else's picks sometime in January)

Submit picks by email by the end of 2012 2013.

Email to deadpool@[my real name].com (PM me if that makes no sense to you).

Just so we're clear, if the person is ranked (1), they receive 1 point for rank -- not 10?

#1 = 10 points
#2 = 9 points

...

#10 = 1 point

That's fine if you only want to pick 3, but you should at least rank them.

The TEC link led me to the most disturbing SKO slash Bugtussle slash redneck slash hilljack post I've ever seen.
What the fuckin' fuck SKO?
A steak knife?
Actually fuck that, I don't care if they had a perfectly sterilized surgical scalpel.
Insurance or not that's just horrific.
I hope they at least cauterized the wound with the cigarette lighter from the ashtray in the pickup.

Merry Fuckin' Christmas, field dress a deer and perform simple surgery on the wife.

Hey, I have an infected feline puncture wound that might be heading for bone and I already had a go at debriding with a sterilized 19 ga. needle. It's not too late to get in a Calvin Coolidge, Jr., easy pick.

We're rolling with 14 at this point. Though picks can still be submitted with a 5 point penalty.

If I were a betting man, and I'm nothing if not just that, I'd say he'll make it work in Colorado and if it doesn't work out there, he'd go someplace else before he'd come back here. I know stuff gets bleak when you're living in a new place and success and happiness elude you, but returning to the place you spent most of your life doesn't ever feel like a good option. For some of us, it's a defeat. Whether that place is Buttpuddle or Dez White Plaines, going back is death in life.

I love visiting Charleston, but if I ever move back there I hope one of my friends puts a bullet in my head.

Would that be Charleston, Illinois, home of the Panthers?  I have friends and relatives who went there.  Whenever Romo returns to make an appearance they said he looks miserable and can't wait to leave.

Nota bene: I'll be out in Colorado until the 7th. So, I may not have a chance to get everything together for another week or so. Until then... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErvgV4P6Fzc)

Legal Weed FTW.

Is it safe to assume Oleg is never, ever coming back?

Not sure. His new year's facebook post was fucking depressing.

No, the Charleston that is actually fun to visit. I'm pretty sure there is only one that can make that claim.

When you grow up around Chicago and you're 18, and Charleston IL's "home rule" allows for 18 year olds to "enter" bars (but not drink, *wink wink, nudge, nudge") I have to say there's something to be said for Jim Edgar's podunk hometown.
