We can take comfort in the knowledge that before long Alvin will figure out how to make it all about himself.

Not natural causes, says the attorney. He wasn't at the convention last week, but he died in Chicago and not L.A.

The NY Daily News' Bill Madden said Ernie suffered a fall a couple months ago (http://m.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/legendary-chicago-cub-ernie-banks-dead-83-report-article-1.2090199), which contributed to his death.

TPD.

Ernie signed a will a couple days after he was diagnosed with moderate to severe dementia? (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-ernie-banks-estate-fight-met-20150727-story.html) Tsk, tsk, Regina Rice.

On another note, I am glad he didn't suffer dementia for long.

This. I'm glad we're not getting too many Stan Mikita updates, because a piece of my gut gets ripped out each time I see one.
