OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I admit it: I'm grateful you guys have given me a chance to participate in Cubs talk this season on this forum. It's nice to be able to talk about this team with folks. You obviously didn't have to do that, since I've given you plenty of reasons in the past to ignore me or go after me for being here. Thanks especially to Mike who seems to be going out of his way to stick up for me. I'm hopeful that I don't do anything to mess this up.

... he posts, practically begging people to fuck with him.

It's nice to have new-old blood around here. I wish more people from Desipio's Past would come back.

Paul was hoping you'd say that.

Edited to add: what ever happened to the fellow who used to type as though he had a thesaurus near his computer? He always used odd words, slightly incorrectly.
Me?

TPD.  I'm surprised you had time to post, old friend: I presumed you were spending your every waking moment throwing bottles at South Africans...
Come on, they were just throwing the trash away like they normally do.

My son cried hysterically for about an hour and a half Saturday night. No stopping it. Loud, shrieking, deafening cries. Painful cries. Cries that hurt my very soul. Wasn't hungry. Obviously some kind of gas or cramp to blame. Tried every remedy we had and every thing that every old woman in our life told us to try. Nothing seemed to fit. After a while I just sat in the rocking chair with him, slowly praying for death as I gently rubbed his back.

Then he promptly farted for - no exaggeration - twenty seconds without pause.  Just take a moment to count out twenty seconds, now, the better to appreciate his achievement.  By the time he reached, probably, twelve seconds or so I was Muttleying so hard that I nearly fell off the rocker.

He then gave what I think might have been his first genuine smile ever, and slept for four and a half hours straight, as did my wife and I. It was glorious.

I wholeheartedly approve this post.

Yep.

"that first time your son discovers how goddamn satisfying a long fart is".

His next fart milestone will be "laughing at his own fart."

My son laughs hysterically at his own farts. Every single time.

He actively tries to fart on me and his mother at the moment, though he spares his sister.

It's a pretty proud time for me.
Oh yeah. Jackson has done that a few times.

*wipes tear from eye*

They just grow up so fast.

Wait until your daughter and her teamates fill the interior of an SUV with bad ass gas while you're driving down an interstate at 70 miles per hour with the windows closed during a rainstorm for seven hours straight (she also blows snot rockets, cracks her knuckles like an Iron Worker, and belches like it's going to be a career).

My delicate little flower.

Not sure how your daughter was tracking as a baby but we've got a 22 pounder going on seven months old. She's a goddamn monster already. I imagine her pulling trucks on ESPN 2 when she gets older.
My daughter was tracking the same way. Enjoy it. That means she eats well, without being fussy.

Does anybody know anybody in the Palm Bay, Florida, area? This is not a drill.
I am in Merritt Island which is 20 minutes from there.

5 years 60 mil for Noah.

I know this is a few days old now, but I still cannot believe that Noah turned into a guy who could receive a 5 year/$60 million contract that didn't seem crazy.

Of all my incredibly accurate and insightful predictions about athletes, this one was waaaaay off the mark.

You're not alone. I had a friend who claimed the second the Bulls drafted Noah that he'd never watch another game with that clown on the team. Well he's a pretty damn good clown.
I am a Gators fan who rooted for Noah for four years and I didn't like the pick.  I am just glad it all worked out.

So, how did the team look?  What about Turco?

This is pretty much the only thing I have seen from Fallon's show, but this was pretty cool.

Fallon's show has been surprisingly good, at least from what I've seen.  His interviews are painful to watch, but his segments can be pretty funny.
I did the youtube search, and you are correct.  Plenty of funny stuff there.  I think I will have to add this show to the DVR list so watch when I am bored.

Annie's tits bouncing

Apparently, this week's episode has Annie and Britta oil wrestling. I don't see a downside.

What I don't think helps is he's got a very punchable face and stupid hair. It's true. I like Jay and wish him well. My point, so none of you titheads get confused, is that a lot of fans are unable to separate personality from talent. If a guy looks/acts/is a douche and struggles a little or a lot, it's very easy to pile on and turn your back on him. Even if that guy has a lot of talent.

In this case, I think the whiner tag that he came here with is going to be very difficult for Jay to shake and that's just a fact. I don't judge him by that and I know SKO doesn't. I'm just saying a lot of people do. Also, for further clarification: those people are wieners.

I don't want Jay to be cool or friendly or pose for endless photographs with sick kids. I want him to win and not die because he's on my favorite team. So yeah, I'm pretty bummed that the offensive line decided to let him get pounded like yesterday's beef.
I love you, not in a gay way but as a very appreciative Desipio reader, for the fact that you can take what us uncreative people are thinking, and you put it in writing for us.

DPD:

So, polls show Murkowski can still win in Alaska.  Crist is running 3rd party in Florida.  Lieberman won re-election as an indy a few years back.  Third party candidates may act as spoilers in both the senate and gubernatorial races here in Illinois.

If third parties can so easily get on the ballot and either spoil or even win, why again are we taxpayers paying for primaries?  They seem to be a waste of my money.

I'd be interested in the wording of those polls in Alaska.  Simply asking a voter if they will vote for Mukowski is too simple, as her name will not be on the ballot.  Crist is faltering in Florida and splitting the vote.  There are probably several Democrats who want Meeks to drop out.

And here, in the land of Lincoln, no third party candidate will be viable.  Especially when the system serves to exclude the third-party candidate from any sort of debate.
I def. do.  Him and Crist are splitting votes right now, which means we get Rubio.  Yay!

Oh yay.  The meatheads are going to have a field day.  By Tuesday, Martz should be fired, Cutler should be cut, and we'll "need to give dat kid Brett Basanez a shot."
Who gives a shit what they have to say?
