OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Although "Guns of August" is perhaps her best known and most widely read book, I was stunned by "A Distant Mirror", about the final Crusade and its impact on European history.  Had that Crusade not happened, or had it ended earlier we would all be speaking French today.

*Dusts off cobwebs*
I knew there were long lost posts somewhere in the dark recesses of the Desipio fruit cellar about Barbara W. Tuchman.
I'm just starting "Stillwell and the American Experience in China".
Anybody here read it?

No.

No.

No.

Yes.

Wait.  I mean no.

No.

Merry Christmas, Morans.

I enjoyed the movie, too, but I still say this is the best Thor-Hulk fight ever.

Tom Petty: Actually Dead Now

In a way, it's a relief knowing for sure.  The waiting was the hardest part.

Or maybe Petty's just having a Mark Twain moment:
Quote
Tom Petty, the rocker best known as the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, is clinging to life in a Los Angeles hospital, according to TMZ. An earlier LAPD report which confirmed the singer's death, and which CBS reported, has since been clarified.

(1/2)The LAPD has no information about the passing of singer Tom Petty. Initial information was inadvertantly provided to some media sources

(2/2) However, the LAPD has no investigative role in this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience in this reporting.

It'd be hilarious if Petty's actually alive and lives another 20 years after all the tributes came pouring in.

We shouldn't have done him like that.

What I'm telling you, essentially, is that Bernie Casey is a tall dead dude.

Has anyone ever rented out there place when buying a new place? Instead of selling it? If so, did you find it to be more trouble than it was worth?

My parents did this like thirty years ago and ended up selling after a few months because the renters trashed it.

I think you'd be better off just driving your old house to the new trailer park.

I'm really glad we started hating this team.  That ass-kicking felt great.

Poor Chuck.

They did it: I finally felt sorry for Chuck.

Just watched the entire series to date over the past couple of months.

What a fantastic show.

I don't know if I felt sorry for Chuck, but it was the first time in a while I was cringing a bit.

I was surprised Chuck went the way he did.  I always thought Chuck would meet his demise by being electrocuted, both as a twist on his condition and in keeping with the fact that he's always been Frank Grimes to Jimmy's Homer Simpson.
