OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

And, oh by the way, I've got a little t-shirt business now - www.fukudometee.com.  Sitemail me for a special Desipio discount code.

I thought you sold water?

Better margins in tees.  Though water can be available upon request.

Desipio discount?

It's not really a discount for water.  It's more of an instruction manual for an exclusive water-harvesting process involving your hands and an ordinary kitchen faucet.

I don't see a link on your website to subscribe to your newsletter.

How do we make this happen?

No newsletter, just genuine one-on-one customer interaction.  Got a question or need advice?  Click "contact us".

I'm getting one of those shirts damnit!

MSW, I'm you're bitch lover. For good or ill.

Awesome.

Holy crap, Daryle Ward can paint!

He's a man of many talents.

Also, who wants to bet the elephant does a better self-portrait than Michael Barrett?

When is the final determination of costs, fees, taxes, whatever?

$140 covers the whole schmegeggy.

There better be free hookers involved for that price

The only thing nastier than a free hooker would be one that only costs $140.

From Crazy Rumor Guy:

"According to Jon Paul Morosi of the Detroit Free Press, the Tigers are targeting Cubs reliever Mike Wuertz.  He notes that the Cubs like Marcus Thames and Brandon Inge.  Thames' inability to play center and Inge's contract could be issues though, in my opinion.

Wuertz, 29, is an underrated reliever with a nasty slider.  Given the state of Detroit's bullpen, he could see save chances if acquired. This was his first year of arbitration eligibility, and he settled at $860K.  Wuertz is pretty far down in the Cubs' bullpen pecking order, for some reason."

Thames: Maybe. Inge: Nah.

Why would we want either of these guys?

I had honestly forgotten all about Michael Wuertz.

I thought you remembered everything.

I remember drinking with Dolan at Kitty O'Shea's at the 2005 Cubs Convention and seeing Wuertz get carded by the bartender, but somehow failed to remember he was still on this team.  I'm slipping, I guess.

I winder (sic) if Corey will get heckled by the bleachers when he returns to Wrigley?

He will but because the bleachers have slowly de-evolved from a drunken Algonquin Round Table to a bunch of unimaginative drunken cocksucking frat boy yuppies, it'll sure to be simply be a bunch of "you sucks" with maybe a few "fags" and "fucks' thrown in.

Hey they're paying 50 buck to sit 400 feet form home, who am I to complain?

Bleachers suck.

We were in a bar in Des Moines Saturday night and for some reason, a black guy had a cowboy hat on. I think only the sight of guys sitting around a campfire and farting would have illicited more Blazing Saddle quotes than this.

It was Obama in from the Wyoming primary

You're thinking of Fennis Dembo.

Anybody remember that SI college preview cover (c.1988)?

No?

He could sit in for Stew as the old guy and sit in for MikeC as the right wing nutjob.

Differences aside, I would hope that MikeC could make it.

I procured my 4 tickets for that Saturday game (August 9th) with the intention of making them available for any morans coming in from out of town who may want to be inside Wrigley Field after the trouble of making it to Chicago for this thing.

Face value, natch.  Anywhere from 1 to 4 tickets.  Pretty decent seats, too.  Section 204, first row.  Send me PM.

The Iowa Desipiots could carpool together. With gas going the way it is, it might be cheaper to fly from CR or Des Moines!!!

Dave B, you and I have our philosophical differences at times, but I would never wish on you a three-hour car ride with RedBeard.  Please don't do that to yourself.

How 'bout you, cowboy?  I heard we'll have a giant inflatable Ryan Theriot balloon tethered to the roof.  Wouldn't that be worth the 10 hour drive from KC?

QuoteThis is great news for the Cards.

Yessir, folks.  You heard it there first.  The Kyle Lohse signing is "great news" for the Cards.

Holy cow.  This guy makes Dana Perino's job look easy.

I want to be there, but Mrs Cubbieblue said that she would rather watch the game from a rooftop in Tuscany.  Can you imagine that?  Maybe if we have pizza delivered she would change her mind.

Oddly enough, if we happen to be on a a rooftop near the firehouse on Waveland, and there's a strong wind coming from the east, you may be able to actually land a loogie on Tuscany Restaurant, as it's at the northwest corner of Clark and Waveland.
