OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

What a twink.

Wrong Billy Bean.

And the print version Sun-Times still has the "standing and looking up at the camera in the sky" look for their columnists.

If you stay at Ron Cey's Inn at Clark, Diversey and Broadway, you needn't worry about parking, because you're only going to park the car when you arrive.  Schubas is at Belmont and Southport, which is only about 7 blocks as the crow flies.  Depending on how long you're staying, ChuckD, you may want to get an all-day CTA card.  If not, then throw about 10-12 bucks into a card and the #22 Clark Bus will be your lifeline.  Take it north to Belmont, where you can catch the #77 Belmont west 4 blocks to Schubas (or, if no bus is coming up Belmont, jst walk it, as it's only 4 1/2 blocks from where the Clark Bus will be dropping you off).  You can also take the #22 Clark south to Lincoln Park Zoo.  You would get off at some point after Fullerton, and again you'll be about 3-4 blocks from the zoo's main entrance.

Check out the CTA's website for more info.

Since all of your activities are in the city, it makes no sense to lodge in the 'burbs just to save yourself a 1/2 hour and a little bit of traffic.  Keep in mind that outbound morning traffic is never as bad as inbound, as that's more of a reverse commute.  It may not be a picnic, but it should only be rough until you get out to O'Hare.  As someone pointed out, the entrance ramp for I-90 is only about 3 miles west of where you're staying (near Diversey and California--you'll see signs).  If you're taking I-88 back to IA, it could be a little bit rougher, as you'll be part of the morning commute heading downtown so as to get on I-290, which takes you to I-88.  You can always skip out of town on I-90 and drop down to I-88 on I-294, which you will pick up around O'Hare.  These are all toll routes (except for I-290) so bring plenty of change.  Hell, with all of the tolls you'll be hitting back and forth, look into getting yourself an I-Pass.  You only pay 1/2 of what the cash-paying suckers pay at the toll, and it should put a sgnificant dent in your travel time.

And, someone besides me try to convince Moran Mike D to play.  He'll give you excuses, but don't take 'no' for an answer.

Fuck that.  I've said it before--but I can only concentrate on one league at a time.  I just like to stop by and offer up my bullshit, free of charge.

Just as Oleg says, an excuse!  I mean, come on, my man.  If you can only concentrate on one league at a time, there would be no other league worthy of such concentration.  This is The League of Leagues, only for The Men of Men, to crown The Champion of Champions.  All other fantasy sports leagues, they ain't SNUFF compared to this.

I see your "no" answer, but like Oleg says, we don't have to take it.  No, we ain't gonna take it!  We're not going to take it, anymore.

Commissioner?  I don't know.  BC really wants to do it and he's got the time.  His Commissioner Notes would be legendaryepicvery long and boring.  MikeC's a good commish.  Dan's a good commish, but he cheated in his ESPN league last year.  He'll deny it, but who ya gonna believe?  BK can vouch with me on it.  That's 2 against 1.  SD starts up a lot these things and he is very self-aware.  Personally, I think the commissioner should be whoever takes the time to make up the league and get the settings right.  I'm just guessin', but I bet that'll be SD.  Or ThrillhoCornfed.

Or BC.

I'd be glad to take up the mantle of commish but it would be irresponsible of me to do so until I get this move finalized (Feb 1st give or take a few days).  Plus I would have to recommend Andy for the job first, and if he refused, I would have to receive his blessings for it.  I think Andy would prefer to have me get jumpkicked in the teeth by a moose rather than run a league with the Desipio name.  If he's down, then I'm down.  I would like to tab JD as a co-conspirator commish though cause he is the voice of the people.

As far as what JD says about the other stuff, I'm down with that too.  Let's get this ball a rollin'!

If nominated as Desipio Keeper League commissioner I will not run, if elected I will not serve.  But yeah, you can use the name.  As long as I'm in the damn thing.

Cool.  So you'll supply a HWFC tshirt for the Desipio Fantasy Baseball League Champion.  Excellent.  I was afraid it was gonna have to be the SSM League and SSM, Inc. would have to supply someone with a lifesize sex scorpion.  This is much safer, for sure.

That reminds me.  I believe I won the SSM NCAA Pool this past year, and I still haven't gotten my HWFC shirt.

"Cat's don't provide milk, fur, or food."

I love how long it to take Angela to realize that Dwight killed her cat, even after she described how the french fries in her freezer were clawed apart.

Stanley's the greatest.  I loved how he, Oscar, and the apparently 82-year old Creed went and sipped on some cold ones rather than run the 5K.

Hey not even the Farns was that bad.

He was pretty bad, TJ.  Maybe not in the final 3 weeks, but he had some horribly godawful, Turnbowish stretches throughout the season.
