OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I was heartbroken yesterday. There was this awesome guy with a nose ring, mutton chops and tats, but he got booted before I got a chance to get his picture digits. I suck at life.

Shit, I thought the draft was tomorrow.  Well, my team sucks balls, oh well, guess it'll be a busy year on the waiver wire.

It's on Chicago avenue, just west of division.
Just west of ashland. I'm still drunk.

Did it move?  It was on Division for a lot of years.

And getting out of the city that early shouldn't be that big of a deal. Just take Diversey all the way back to the Kennedy (90 West).

90 West isn't what you want to get to Iowa City.  Take Ashland or Western down (instead of 90 east) to 290 and take that out to 88.  Or, to 55 to 80 if you don't have a ziplock full of 20's for the toll.

So, who's this managing Bad Kermit's Team?

That's what I was wondering.

I'm starting the mind games early.  Wait until I draft Tim Spooneybarger with the first overall pick*

We had a similar problem with one of my work leagues were everyone had opinions and so there was all the suggesting without any progress.  We just declared on guy the commissioner and he just arbitrarily made the rules and if anyone didn't like them they could go to hell.  It worked out pretty well even if in his lust for power he mandated everyone's team names.

I nominate JD as the Emperor of the fantasy baseball league.  He can set all the rules and if anyone doesn't like them they can go join NSBB's league.

Please use less teeth.  That would be nice.

Yeah, calling a top draft pick talented is really going over board.  Did he knock up your sister or something?

Did the Cubs really give that kid 10 mil?  He better have Cecil Fielder power, because he is a dumb mother fucker if he thinks he's going to waltz in here and be a .320 hitter with power.  Have a cup of humility, son.  Tell us you are going to work your ass off and bust some hymans, that's how you'll get my respek.

What did you expect?  A top draft pick thinks he's going to be great.  I'm shocked!  Let's get out the indignation!!!

I wish he would have said that he'd struggle in A ball, finally put it together and dominate AA and AAA only to flame out and never reach his potential posting a career line of 244/290/393 in 354 career at bats.

Honestly, can't you think of something better to complain about that the fact some super talented high school player thinks he's going to be great.  Isn't there a drama geek at your local high school that wants to be in a Scorsese film that you can go throw rotten fruit at?

Quote"The fans have been unbelievable," DeRosa said. "And as good as they've been, that's how hard they rode us early on, and rightfully so. We deserved it at that time. I really get a kick out of the signs like 'It's Gonna Happen.'

"Hopefully we buy into that. I know a lot of guys think something special is going on right now, and we're just trying to ride it out."

I saw a guy with that sign on TV. Looked like a professional sign, nice graphics on an acrylic board...probably someone in Marketing came up with that - look for T-shirts to show up any minute now.

Yeah, it's a BS frat boy t-shirt company thing.  Some dude was sitting on Sheffield selling them.  Sure, sell crappy shirts, I don't care, but bringing in personal advertising signs to get in people's way is crap.

Fontenot's unwillingness to take a walk scares me.  14-4 K/BB ratio in 104 ABs?  Ewwww...  Anyone know where to find his BABIP?  I'd venture he's getting pretty lucky right now and is due for a correction.  If that happens and you don't upgrade at catcher, you have a team worse than the 2003 Cub offense.

His career minor league numbers are: .287/.364. SO/BB 458/246.

He can take a walk.  He's swinging a hot bat right now so he's jumping on a lot of pitches.
