OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Seriously?  The trophy is going on tour and is going to make personal appearances?  In Rockford?  Is it also expected to say a few words?

Apparently it wanted to check out the local cuisine.

All Mexican food is terrible, so this billboard is fine.

I don't understand CT's new character, Mopey KC Resident Who's Suddenly Full Of Shit.

I don't write my characters for you Bort, I write them for me.

Me. My company has deemed me expendable. They were the last to know.

That sucks. Especially since nobody hires in December.

Except baseball teams! Time to work on my cutter.

The good news: I'm not a member of any protected class, they said, so they don't have to give me any severance. Which was great to hear!

Well, if you haven't been shown the door yet, my advice to you is to steal everything that isn't nailed down.

And drink heavily.

After watching that MLB World Series documentary, I wonder when the cackling that this finally happened will end. I kind of hope it never ends.

Probably when the Cubs win again next year.

This could not have possibly been less helpful.

Thanks, only site!

The only thing less helpful are the deals!

Moving up the top of the list of bad ideas I've had...

We have a meeting at work this week with Joe Ricketts (the elder.)  He runs the Bison Council and we have a potential opportunity to work with them.

As the resident Cubs guy at the office, I've been asked for help on a quick assignment.

Our chef is going to make bison meatball sliders with goat cheese and giardiniera to serve at the meeting and I've been asked to come up with creative, relevant names for said sandwich to show him that...you know..."we get it."

So, if anyone is so inclined, I'd love to crowdsource this beyond the Slackbox to see what amazing names we can bring forth.

I'll take any and all ideas and will share back what we came up with including my own bad ideas.

It needs to be called "The Huey" and when he asks why Bort needs to walk into the room and give a 90 minute powerpoint presentation on the Shoutbox/Desipio/Slackbox.

I hate Bud Selig.

Fuck Selig.

Cubs in 6.

I heard a caller mention something about the 4 games in AL parks. He said, if it gets to game 7, that means the Cubs will have been able to put out an optimized batting order 4 games, as opposed to 3, and that may help them since I believe most of us agree the Cubs probably have the best lineup and great depth.

Also, 4 games of Schwarber

.... I kind of enjoy For The Love of The Game. I will say a good chunk of it is due to Scully narration, but still.

That movie is fucking terrible.

You chucklefucks just had to ruin my nice bumping of the Theo thread. Goddamn you.

We seem to have determined that Theo isn't going anywhere and especially not to politics, so post your joyful positive or git out.

I want to be perfectly clear on one thing: I'm the only one who can say "or git out" now.

Epstein-Hoyer 2020?

I actually want Tim Cook to run, and I want his staff/cabinet to be primarily Apple execs. I have little logical reason for desiring this.

That is because this is an insane thing to desire.

INSANELY GREAT?

No. Just insane.

I don't know. I think there are worse things than having brilliant executives run the United States, after having a track record of already running the most successful company in the world.

Oh good god no. Not in any way. No.

You're right. Theo would totally be a more logical choice.

Apple's success depends in large part on being able to manufacture their products cheaply in Chinese factories where conditions are so depressing that nets have been erected outside the buildings to catch suicidal employees.

If you think Apple executives give a tin shit about humanity, I don't know what to tell you.

I mean, at least Peter Thiel is up front about the fact that he's a fucking vampire.

Let's talk about some goddamn baseball, people.

Who is going to give Rich Hill a lot of money to watch him spend next year on the DL?

Who gives Cespedes the massive contract they should have just given him last year rather than wait and overpay him when he's another year older?

Will the White Sox sell, add, or once again just stand there doing nothing and hoping 85 wins fall into their laps and it works out?

White Sox are gonna trade for Miggy.  Book it.

Montero or Cabrera?

YOU KNOW WHO I MEANT

I don't know what a 78 year old Hunter Thompson would have done with this election, but I'd sure hell would've liked to find out.

Now I'm just re-reading The Great Shark Hunt and replacing Nixon's name with Trump's to make me feel better.
